You DO need to be warm before working on back mobility!!!!!!!

I do my training after my upper body workout at the gym too or after taking a super hot bath then doing a few mobility exercises.

I have a back mobility routine in the lessons that can help you understand the progression for back mobility.

I think it depends on the kind of relationship you have with your dad.

I danced for my dad and mom in my own home because they had never seen what I do in person, but the songs and my outfit we appropriate for the relationship I had with my conservative dad. I would not have been comfortable taking either of my parents to an event like USPDF.

However, I was at a Dita von teese show and her mom, dad, and other family were there watching her burlesque performance and they were soooooo proud! So I think it just comes down to how open your family is.

CloSmo, all poles weather they are removable or permanent need to be placed on a "beam" If the beams are far apart then using a square of wood can be done if you're using the dome on an xpole. If you want to screw your xpole in, then you would want to buy the xpole vaulted ceiling adaptor. That screws into your beam/joist and the pole goes in to the adaptor and you don't need the dome any more.

That's a tough one Monica! To tell or not to tell is always an interesting discussion! I have the luxury of working for myself so I tell everyone! I even told one of the waitresses at our favorite sushi place. It was interesting because she told me, her only reference for pole was what she has seen on TV. There was no mention of strippers at all or pole being sexy at all!

Names are such a tricky thing because everyone just uses whatever for names. You can always check out our gallery here for names and AKA lists too. AKA's are listed in lesson descriptions as well.

When going into a outside leg hang AKA Gemini you invert on the opposite side so the outside leg is used to hang. Just as you observed.

You should be working on inverts from BOTH sides always! There is not one correct side to be inverting on. 🙂

I suggest learning it the same way you would the sm. From the floor! Use a mat because you’ll be landing on the knees.

October 12, 2013 at 10:19 am in reply to: wrist wraps and support

I don’t use wrist support often but I bought some of the wrist wraps to try and didn’t care for them. For myself I was looking more for support of the wrist joint (the wraps go above the joint) so I prefer to use a good old ace bandage. I buy the kind that stick to its self. 🙂

Glad I could help Cazacat! Legs4Days, when I broke my foot I took the opportunity to focus on upper body training. By the time my foot was healed I was then able to hold and Iron x because of all the time I had put into only upper body. 🙂

Hi Passion Poler! As everyone mentioned it's totally normal for a move to come and go. Frustrating, but normal. 🙂

    Sorry about your hand!

You could buy some wrist weights (I know they’re not usually super heavy) but you could do lying chest flies, lateral, rear and forward shoulder raises, bent over rows, lying or overhead triceps.

This would be a great time to focus on core and improving your strength and lines of the Lowe body!

Hi 🙂 regardless of your level you want to start at the beginning of the lessons. This why you’ll understand the progression and build the strength you need. The 30
Day Take Off is a great place to start!
