First I don’t think its my place to judge anyone. Second. I love going to strip clubs and I think that exotic work is a real job! We have a good number of ladies on this site who work or have worked, in the exotic world and they are always welcomed. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif I see any pole work or performing as legitimate, doesn’t matter if there fully clothed or in their birthday suite. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/bom.gif

lol yes I was pregnant! I had really bad nausea. Doing the lessons actually helped, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I think it distracted me from how sick I felt!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif I did all the advance and inverted moves ASAP, and left the spins and other lessons for later. I was done with all of them before I was even 3 months along, so other than feeling a little green, you can’t see that I’m preggers. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif The old vids will be no more in a few weeks. LOL

2dyzzi Are you saying you think its Pes Anserinus Bursitis/inflammation? If its something that has been a problem for sometime now you should go to the DR. And remember, even if the pain is in the knee, that doesn’t mean its coming from the knee, it could be problem with the hip, spine, ankle, bodies are funny that way. If its something that doesn’t improve see a DR. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
And yes Poleskivvies, sitting can be a bitch on your body….boooo. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

Hamstring pain? Well that’s not good. Is it from a previous injury?
If the knee pain is along the inside of the leg, it could be your Adductors/inside of thigh, are tight. Also the pains both hamstring and knee could be due to not warming up enough before stretching….. -
Have you tried turning up brightness on your computer screen? I’m guessing you have but I’m not good with technology and it took me forever to realize I could adjust the brightness of my screen. LOL I hope to start uploading the new versions by the end of this week….but we’ll see. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Keep at it!!! After being off the pole for month when I was pregnant with Henry, I was so discouraged. My body knew HOW to do the moves I just lacked the strength. Any time I take a few weeks off the first few times back on the pole are frustrating! I feel weak and unmotivated…..keep at it, don’t give up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Actually…… I just finished recording 24 lessons on Transitions and floorwork. Many of them are new and a few are just updated. I’ll add even more at a later date! I am also in the process of re doing all of the spins as well. I’ll be add a few new lessons here and there, but the focus for now is to updated all the old lessons that are left…..as soon as that is done I have a big surprise for everyone!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to hear that you all are enjoying the lessons!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yes we still recommend X poles….I love mine. I think you may have misunderstood the honesty thing. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif There is nothing shady about the company, selling their pole is just not right for our business right now. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Good news….I just finished recording 24 transition and floorwork lessons! Some are new and a few are up dated…body wave is one of them. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

X Pole is the company name….they now make a few different models of X poles.
Xsport- Static only
45 and 50mm
Chrome and Titanium GoldXspert-Spin and Static
45 and 50mm
Chrome and Titanium GoldThey also sell the Kendra pole-Static only
45mm only
Chrome
I think this is correct not too sure about the Kendra pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gifAll Xpoles are now bottom loading (set up from the bottom) The old models were set up (adjusted) from the top. For me having a 12ft pole I’m not sure the bottom loading is a benefit!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

AdministratorApril 16, 2010 at 6:08 pm in reply to: How limited will I be because of my background?I don’t have a gymnastics or dance background I had strength but that went away while preggers with Henry!! … in fact anything I have ever done was self taught, first. I still can’t hold a handstand on the floor, but I"m working on it.
Always work towards your personal best….there will always be someone better than you, it’s just the way things are. Work with the strengths you have, maybe its strength, leg flexibility or even the ability to entertain…everyone has some little thing that they can build on as their strength.
If this is something you have a passion for and want to do then go for it….don’t compare yourself to others…. but watch tons of vids, not just pole, but anything with movements….ballroom, modern, gymnastics….study them. Then VISUALIZE yourself moving in the same manner…..visualization is a HUGE help for me!!! And you must be confident in the fact that you CAN do the move or can move with fluidity. The human mind is extremely powerful, and I believe you can do anything you put your mind to!!! Go for it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Most of the pro dancers are tiny and most starred off with a 50mm pole. It just takes time to build up the strength. Your hands do not need to fit around the pole, mine don’t. You’ll get stronger! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If your looking for some strength exercises for your hands, wrists, and forearms, I have specific lessons on those area, in addition to the full body strength work too. You can find them under the strength training section of the lessons https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif .

We are no longer selling X poles.

Its normal to be very sore at first. Always warm up well and stretch after you done. Also make sure that your allowing for recovery time in between poling sessions. Every other day is best, not everyday. On your off days you can stretch (after a warm up) but if you knew to exercise in general you want to give your body the rest in needs so you will not suffer from injury or just get too sore that you cannot even move. haha https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I still get bruising and pole burn now and then and callouses are a permanent part of my hands. LOL
Everyone will lose weight at different rates though, it depends on how in active you were before you started and how long you dance, you body type…my guess is you will start to notice it in the fit of your clothing more than anything. Don’t look at the evil scale cuz you will gain muscle too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
