Yes, that is one of the routines, however I suggest you start by watching the individual stretching lessons first, the contain important tips and info on body placement for each stretch. Often dancers find they make better progress when they don’t do flexibility training every single day. Keep in mind that flexibility training and stretching are 2 different things! Daily light stretching is fine, but training to increase flexibility is something that requires more of your body so it needs time to recover. This lesson explains how to use the Stretching section. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd66731-eab0-4b4a-aa13-41ad0ac37250

Also please what the “getting started” lesson for the site, this explains how to use the lessons to get the most out of them. 🙂 https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd006a7-c45c-4c1e-b6b6-4a870ac37250

Hi Viola, the routines for stretching are in the Lesson on the website here. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons

I would say for most people achieving splits in 30 days is not reasonable.

January 27, 2014 at 10:32 am in reply to: Can we talk about the twisted grip?

My frustration with this grip is not that some use it, but that I see studios pushing it as a grip EVERYONE should learn. Many studios only teach the twisted grip for ayasha, cartwheels and handsprings, and they teach it to beginners!!! I would love to see more polers understand that not EVERY move or grip is right for EVERY body type! I would agree that for some, using it wont be an issue, however, it was a signature grip that worked for a particular pole dancers body. Then, everyone decided was so cool “we must all do this”. Many moves are signature for a reason, that persons body could move in that way naturally! I know judges (myself included) that will not give high marks for TG because it is easier to hold, they are more impress with the split grips and true grips (which we also have to condition our bodies for btw).

If you are working on the Twisted grip, then DO NOT do it from the floor by standing and KICKING into it! The best way to test the TG waters is from an invert off the pole.

It can take years or only a few sessions depending on the person. There is no magical quick fix to gain the flexibility for splits, it takes time and consistency! 🙂

I would highly suggest the lessons here, they will give you information on proper form and also you’ll find 3 stretching routines that are each twenty mins long.

Here are some more tips for flexibility training, sometimes less is more!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1ZZE2GTBiQ

It’s a good pole too, however I find that if I have limited space, a spinning pole is a better option then static. On static when I do spins my legs really fly, you need space in order to really reach out with the limbs to get nice momentum for static spins. On spinny you stay closer to the pole, you don’t need to swing the limbs on spinny. Just something to think about.

You can view the lessons on a TV if you have a gaming device that allow you to use the internet. Also if you have an apple TV you can push the videos onto the TV as well. I know DVDs seem like a great ideas, but I’m always updating and improving and adding to the lessons here. In addition to that, the amount of DVDs you’d have to purchase to see all of the lessons here would be CRAZY!!! There is so much info, it would be a huge box set. 🙂 I’m glad you enjoy the lessons though!
