Looks like webby had been working the forum the day you said you posted sooo I don't know?
I have seen these DVDs and they're nice. I will caution…If your a beginner and do not have previous strength training in your background I would take it slow with these DVDs. I don't feel most of the spins are appropriate for beginners. I know when pole first became popular studios taught spins as beginner moves. But once I begin to rethink my own teaching methods I came to the conclusion that is was no longs a safe method. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cop.gif There is a reason I have my lessons organized the way I do https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif My Veena method is all about building strength first!!!!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifIts unfortunate that dvds become out dated so quickly.

The monthy Challenges give all of us something to work on every month everyone from beginner to advanced do the challenges. You can see what the challenge is for each month if you look under the "challenge" topic of the forumhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Women who have had babies or lost a lot of weight should also be careful on both spin and static. Once the skin has been stretched out and has stretch marks and such, its weaker/thinner and many times the loose skin will get caught!! Trust me I know loose skin sticks well to a pole!!! For anyone who falls in that category I would suggest you work on this move with a tank top or shirt covering the abdomen. You'll have to focus more on holding with the front of the thighs and bottom forearm more but thats how I first worked on it. I still don't perform this move too often.

You do so much for us!!!

@ byrdgrrl if you have something in mind and you feel it works then go for it! I'm not too picky https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Just be sure you explain what the TV show is so we understand what the music represents.

Good observation Polkadotpoler! I like to use my arms in this hold as well, helps tremendously! You also need a good amount of flexiblity in the hamstrings https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
