Its not very in depth but it will give you a few positions and tips for working on the splits. Once my foot is healed I'll be adding more stretches to the lessons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZMEGqdgGRs

@Calipolepixie. hooping alone will not result in abs of steel. The results you see as far as abs go are more related to loss of fat. Hooping, when your new to it can be great cardio. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gifYou will see better tone to your abs and I'm not saying it wont work your abs just don't expect to have super cut abs from only hooping.
As far as how soon will you see results, that will vary from person to person.

Good point robyn…Vinegar is acidic. I wouldn't use it to dry out my hands on my titanium finish pole. Chrome if it has been applied properly should be ok but to clean the pole your always safer going with alcohol. I think we were just talking about using it on your hands? I would keep something else around to clean the pole. I'm lucky I don't have sweaty hands I have to deal with dry hands https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

You could try taking a pic or vid so you can see if your lifting the torso up high enough. You'll get it!!
-
No Wait to turn once your hand is over the top leg and gripping the pole…then…turn the torso away from the pole. Drop the hip of the free leg down towards the floor. Make sure you have tucked in the leg really close and brought the upper body up when reaching for the pole.
-
I show two methods of entering the Allegra. Scorpio and Half or full hip hold. If your shorter the Hip hold method my work better for you.

AdministratorFebruary 21, 2011 at 4:27 pm in reply to: Fan legs…is this a flexibility problem?Yes it can be a flexibility issue also you need adequate strength. So keep it low like Puma Suggested as you work on your hamstring flexibility and strengthen the Abominals, Iliopsoas (hip flexor) and quads (front of thigh). Part of the reason its a beginner move to me is that it can be a good strength builder.
For those of you taking the lessons here are some that focus on these muscle groups.

I think rubbing alcohol smells worse than vinegar. Rubbing alcohol just makes me think of sick people. LOL

AdministratorFebruary 21, 2011 at 9:27 am in reply to: Flat, flatter, flattest Jade possible, tips?I can not do a nice perfect looking squared split or even a crazy over split. BUT I CAN do a jade without the use of my arm and keep it flat. If you have access to the lessons Charley I cover a few tips that will allow you to flatten out. For my technique its mostly about the prep into the move and then a good placement of the torso.

I don't know it smells but it also reminds me of cleaning. You may leave your practice smelling like a pickle lol. But good grip is worth it!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

You can "inform" someone without behaving rudely!!! We have talked about the nature of this completion in a few threads on here and have discussed that it is held in a strip club ect. As I said on your blog….its up to the person entering a competition to do their research as to who runs it and what kind of competition it in.
All I see from your post is unnecessary rudeness.
-
ErinMarie…It seems that everyone who is on this thread understands that the comp is in a Strip club setting. Also looking at the competition site, it seems pretty clear that the girls who would benefit from competing are exotic dancers. I personally have no problem with exotic professionals using the terms pole dance. Jamilla, Felix and Fawnia all have won NUDE compitions in the past!
