Yes, you need to make sure you’re strong enough to get the hips up high. Also if you haven’t already, try working on the inverted crucifix from a reverse handstand, to help you feel more secure with your legs. You can work on releasing the hands from the floor too at the side of the pole, then you will know how high up the knees and hips have to be.

I would look for a playground to do your knee tucks at because it’s not just the abs you’re working, it’s the back and biceps as well. 😀 everything else can be done with a doorframe.

Try legs extended, cross the legs, one leg bent, two bent, come around the pole with the body in sit or shoot from behind while in sit and look over the shoulder!
If you remember to fully extend you legs in what ever pose you choose and point the foot it makes everything look better. Don’t forget to breath so your face is more natural 😖

I came across this thread the other day and I have a question for you all. Would any of you allow me to switch your video to public, allowing us to share to our Facebook page!? I was inspired by watching through these again and I think others might be as well. I even started a second thread incase others want to join in.

Often you will find that one type of split comes more naturally than others. However, keep in mind that while anyone can improve their flexibility not everyone will achieve full front and middle splits. Try to keep your goals aimed at improving on the flexibility you have and see how far your body takes you.
