I don't see any purpose to posting negative opinions…..If you have an issue with someone please contact that person to work it out.

You reduce your risk of injury by having an adequate warm up. Cardio, or conditioning/strength exercises are great warm ups. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif Just stretches alone not, so much. The biggest thing to remember about a warm up is to move move move! Hooping is my favorite warm up right now. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Hi and welcome back!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif If you have a pole at home the lessons here are perfect for beginners and those who are looking to get back on the pole! I have placed them in a specific order, allowing you to build much needed strength! A lot of polers have been off the pole for long periods of time and managed to get their groove back!! You can too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I think sometimes we feak ourselves out by over thinking. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif Like others have suggested, practice, practice! When you listen to your favorite music close your eyes and try to picture how you would dance to it. Do this often and before you dance. This is something I do constantly! lol Then, before you actually start to dance, try telling yourself to relax, take a deep breath and picture that "dance" you saw in your head.
Tricks will fit into your dances once you have become VERY comfortable with the trick. If a trick is iffy on it's own, it wont flow well in a dance.

Hi Spekky, I know there are a few girls who have outdoor poles, so hopefully they will see this post! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

LOL Tigger!
Hi Cami! Tiggertail is right don't stress too much about it. I would pick 2-3 of the lap dance moves you really love and are comfortable with (you don't want to kick him in the head!) and work with those moves. As Tigger said, pick a song you love and just go with it. If you get lost just spank your booty. LOL If your taking the online pole dance lessons, try looking as some of the floorwork too for ideas! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

If you do decide on an X pole we have a deal going on right now for $10 shipping! https://www.studioveena.com/shopping Everyone will progress at different rates depending on their previous fitness level, background, and how often they are able to practice. That being said, anyone can pole dance and enjoy it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Awww that's a great story!

LOL @ bridge looks like banana! Back flexibility will help, but placing the hand in the right area for your leg type, and being able to open up and drop the lower hip can compensate for lack of back flexy.
-
Flexibility is something usually takes time. There are a lot of quick progress claims out there, but really everyone will progress differently. Some will find they increase quickly, others will be slow and steady! As mentioned, I do have stretching routines for helping you achieve splits, but I strongly suggest working on the individual stretching lessons first, before moving on the splits routines. This way you'll have the proper mechanics down and you'll get the most out of your stretching session! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Still says content not available :/

If you have a clothes/fabric steamer give that a try, its how I clean my poles now…maybe it may help your slipping issue.

From what I have read, seems like Brass and SS are both good for the "glistening" dancer! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gifTitanium gold and chrome are different than SS and Brass. But really you never know for sure what will work best for you until you try, even then conditions will change your grip.

Yay, he's great to work with isn't he?!! I'm a lucky gal, he's at my house right now…I think I'll keep him! lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif The link didn't work for me though.

Oh that target one is cute!
-
Yeah, Catseyes, play around with hand placement and also check your torso placement, I have found the more I can reach my back around the pole the more extension I get. So opening up from the hips is important. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I vote for the 45mm. You'll still have the studio 50s to work with anyway. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
