There’s such a variation when it comes to what a “level” is, so try to stay calm. Meet with the studio and see how it goes. Let us know how it worked out! π
I have no issues with sites using stock photos for general info. lol

I probably spend more time working on lines then I do tricks Γ°ΕΈΛβ

If your interested, there are full length routines and short routines/combo in the lessons that will help you with movement and even hands and feet. It takes a lot of practice and watching others!

Thanks Lina! I think I was able to do it right away because I had done a similar transition (in the video I posted to this link) a few years back. I just had to focus on not letting my leg hook!! I’m sure you’ll get it.
How fun Chem, I missed this challenge on fb!

These exercises and a LOT of practice will help! Oh and do the new lower body routine!
Foot exercise 1 focus on the outward exercise with the band. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4e316bf4-9398-4008-9184-6d820ac37250
Foot exercise 2 This is great for flat feet. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4e316bf4-9398-4008-9184-6d820ac37250

Yay, I did it!!! Thanks for sharing this!

Faye, make sure to watch the Getting started lessons at the beginning of each section and watch each of the individual stretching lessons too. They have a lot of cues for proper form. Once you are familiar with those you can start working on the flexibility routines. π

Twisted grips could have caused the pain. If it doesn’t feel better in a day or two I would lay off the TG and see a Dr.

Very cool, I like it! I did something similar a few years back, it’s an invert into a SG straight edge. I used my leg lightly to assist in the transition but I think it could be done without the leg touching at all. I’m gonna try it the next time I practice! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Siso8Pl0WRY

And as the others said if they don’t have a solid invert down getting the positioning correct for gemini will be difficult. If they have to toe scramble to get into basic invert then have them keep at it before moving on.

AdministratorNovember 11, 2013 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Help! Students trouble with gemini poc’sTry explaining that the hooked leg/foot isn’t pointing away from the pole (like the other free leg) but rather the leg rotates allowing them to point the foot down towards the opposite hip. The rotation is like sitting cross leg on the floor. The contact isn’t with the whole knee pit but the outer half.

When you first start pole dancing you shouldn’t pole every day! I highly suggest taking a look at the lessons here. I have a program called the 30 day take off that is included in the lessons. It tells you what to work on each day for 30 days. Also the lessons here are placed in the order in which to perform them. I designed them to progressively build your strength while preventing overuse injury, that is common for new dancers. Here are some links to watch. π

4 exercises every pole dancer should know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ3V_2DsxgE

By default all videos uploaded here are still only viewable by memebers! Also you are choosing per video, it’s not all or nothing, so you can pick and choose Γ’ΛΒΊΓ―ΒΈΒ

Many of my names are more literal. For example, I don’t use brass monkey, it’s the Inverted back hook π I’m boring!
-
It’s a good plan to work on holds and such, you can also do upper body strength and conditioning right now too. Nice to see you back!

Hi misshrek! If you have the lessons take a look at the Fan Legs Lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/c468b2b8-b87d-11df-856f-001b214581be
You’ll see below the main player for each lesson there is a list of other lessons. These are all other moves, stretches and exercises you can to do help you achieve the move shown in the main lesson. For example, you’ll see working on Knee Tucks, Hip flexor lift, Pole leg lifts and forward/back scapula will be helpful. Also the new Lower Body Strength routine would be great! https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/527ab98a-edc8-4144-9793-65ca0a9aa0eb

You can buy more than one mount. I have 3 mounts up for my SV pole. It’s very easy to move around if that helps.

Have you looked into the Studioveena pole? It’s a great price, the grip is great and its quick to set up.
