Don’t be too hard on yourself! Pole is very physically demanding, and it does take time to build up the strength that is needed to perform many moves. Please feel free to take a look at the lessons here, I have everything placed in order for you helping you build strength!! You can get 3 days of access with this code GET3FREE

AdministratorMarch 18, 2014 at 10:40 am in reply to: Sickled feet – any good pointers how to unlearn this habit? There are some exercises in the lessons that will help, it does take a lot of practice and time on her part though, but it can be improved!
How to point the toes https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/50c8ace5-5db0-439e-828c-6a350ac37250
Foot exercise 1 For the first half be sure that she doesn’t allow the bottoms of the feet to roll in to face each other, but rather focus on keeping the bottoms of the feet facing the floor throughout the exercise. The second half of the exercise with the band will be very helpful. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4e316bf4-9398-4008-9184-6d820ac37250
Also working on lower body while focusing on the feet can help create the muscle memory for nice looking feet. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/52e9d171-5724-43b2-8784-47960a9aa0eb
I bet others who are trained in ballet will have suggestions too!

Soko I’m hoping you see that we just want you to enjoy and love your body the way it is. You created another human, that’s pretty amazing!!!!! xoxoxo
I agree AnnVann!! I get frustrated with the amount of money companies make off of their lotions and magic potions for “cellulite” cures! I hope that someday as women we can realize its normal and there’s nothing wrong with it, it doesn’t need fixing, but can fluctuate depending on diet and exercise. It’s very similar to stretch mark issues woman have, they happen, and it’s not something we need to spend tons of hard earned money on to make our bodies “presentable” to others. I’ve ALWAYS been thin, it’s how my whole family is, but we still have cellulite and stretch marks, you can’t see it on my videos because of lighting and video quality. I think we would be better off spending our time and money on pole dancing! lol
Thank you to the girls who also offered alternative methods for improving appearance of cellulite!

You’ll find all of the lessons here in the Stretching section, https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view_category/stretching-exercises

Yes! I have many individual lessons for stretching, these help you understand proper body placement and there are also two, 20 minute routines to help you improve your splits both front and middle. There is a routine for back mobility as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD9tzV9HJEE

I say we can keep this going until the end of March 🙂

If you have the lessons here I would suggest working on all 7 of the conditioning exercises for the hands, wrists and forearms, they are placed all in a row. You’ll want to strengthen all 3 areas, not just the hands. 🙂 Here is the first lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/b9b362ac-b880-11df-856f-001b214581be

I would say brass or some love Stainless steel too in very warm climates. 🙂

Try using liquid graphite to stop the noise. Someone said it worked great for her, mine only makes loud noise if the pole is too tight or a little off center, otherwise the sound is very slight.
-
Lol that is a lot when you hit the end, but as mentioned no need to feel you have to complete it. 😉

I hear good stuff about Dirty Girl Poletice for sweaty issues.

Nachashlsis, have you added our SV icon to your phone or tablet? It’s a fast way to get to the site? https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/5323be07-4da4-4159-a10f-01b00a9aa0eb

Meg, thanks for seeing my reply to the thread and sharing this here! xoxo

vkissme, be careful when taking herbs and meds when you are pregnant, be sure you’ve check with your Dr or midwife to see if it’s safe, just because it calms to be natural doesn’t mean it’s ok to use if you’re expecting. Also it’s not toxins that create cellulite, the blog entry that Lina shared is pretty spot on to what I have read about cellulite, so you could take a look at that too if you like. 🙂

Lol That’s a great pic!!

Congrats on your baby! I’ve got cellulite too, it’s often a genetic thing so don’t stress about to too much. I find mine looks better when I’m hydrated and eating well, I don’t worry about it though.

That’s great to hear Nachashisis. I don’t get calluses on my hands when I use my SV pole! It’s weird, I get really bad ones when I use my brass! I’m happy to hear it’s working well for you too!

Yes, video please 🙂 There is a lesson here if you have not seen it, using both True grip and regular (thumb up). Keep in mind it can take years to build up the strength and muscle memory for this move, the taller you are the more strength is needed. https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/500ec404-2688-4862-bded-62650ac37250
