Good luck! 💜 Let us know how it goes if you decide to do it! 😊

I don’t know what it is either. Could you explain or maybe share a link for us?

Oh also, you can’t insert the lolly into the top piece of the xstage because it’s capped and you can’t just pull the cap off….so to use it at higher than half would require you to purchase a tall extension instead. So things to know! I really enjoy my lollipop even if it’s not super high!

The lollipop Lyra attaches right to the xpole, it’s cannot be used off the pole as a Lyra, just to be clear. The weight (hollow or not) will not matter because it’s on the pole. I talked with some circus performers at a gig I recently did and they agreed that using the second half of the stage pole seems risky as far as stability is concerned. Also placing the pole on spin with the lolly attached isn’t a neat as you might think because once you move up on the the Lyra half the spin quickly fads, and if you use all of the pole to full height spin stops even sooner. If you want to spin you’ll need to stay on the outside of the apparatus and use it with have the stage pole.
As far as Lyra (without the pole) goes, heavier will spin longer or so I’ve been told. I have a solid Lyra and have yet to use a hollow, I was suppose to relieve a hollow but never did. ðŸ˜

Hi! Don’t loose sight of why you started or enjoyed pole by getting caught up in feeling that you SHOULD reach a particular level by a certain point! Everyone progresses differently and there’s no timeline for pole. I do agree that maybe reading the blog I just posted might help. Also, pole moves tend to be progressive in nature so make sure you’ve got a nice handle on the fundamentals before moving on to more challenging pole work. The lessons here are listed in a progressive order if you’d like a reference point 😊

The gallery has a list of grips, not only that, you’ll find links for lessons that use that grip! 😀 What you’re showing me is a split grip https://www.studioveena.com/galleries/view/4f875a5b-e4d0-43f0-8442-3f900ac37250.
The bottom hand is not correct, you should never fully wrap the fingers when in this position, the bottom palm is taking on the weight not the fingers. I explain in the lesson link I posted. The burning you feel could be the rhomboids or the trapezius and unless you feel a snap, sharp or sudden quick pain it’s normal to feel fatigue in the muscles when using them. Usually the “burn” you feel is a chemical buildup and its normal. If my muscles done feel a burn I know I’ve got to increase my resistance next time! 💪ðŸ»
