I have a 2014 chrome xpert and attend studios with earlier versions of chrome x perts and I can’t see any difference. All the poles need regular wiping down with alcohol and all need to be warmed up – by friction ie dancer climbing, spinning, sliding up and down for 10 mins to get grippy. Cold dancer on cold chrome – pole fail. Warm chrome and warmed up dancer – no probs. I still use grip though.

Lucca lol, every time I go see a sports massage or chiro person they look at me and go ‘cross fit injury?’ And I have to explain, no, over training pole.

Hah ha at the noodle struggling! It’s R for Rocketman today and tomorrow is S so shoulder mount, superman, Scorpio switches, scissor climb, swan – loads of choice for tomorrow. I will probably do scissor climb since it’s the most impressive and see if I can squeeze in something beginning with S at the top of the pole.

I don’t have much time so mostly doing vid of stuff I can already do and concentrating on making it look good in a 15 sec clip combo. Have tried new stuff as a result though, just left the clips on my phone!

😔😕 I’ve ruined the mystique now: every vid I post people will be going ‘oh there goes Tropical climbing pole in fancy way, invert into gemini, spin for aaaages, yawn, snore…’

This is my go- to freestyle choreo

    1. Climb pole in fancy way pausing to do leg things, elbow grip arm things.

    2. Invert at top of pole into gemini. Spin round for aaaaages.
Leg switches down a bit then
    A. Superman to Scorpio or gemini
    Or
    B. Flower spin to pike to jade back to pike.

    3. Flip into Goldrush/inverted thigh hold if room or handstand out. Or mermaid off and roll about a bit on floor

    4. Kneel up and spin up the pole (tuck or Jamilla)
Stand behind pole throw shape (flatline descent and log roll/ arabesque to back bend, high kick or fan kick etc)
    5. Fan kick(s) to pole sit, scissor climb higher.
Swan to drama queen to CAR.
    6. Brass monkey off or cartwheel or sit back up and either spin down with passé legs
or go to figurehead – hangman – hood ornament
    7. Or climb up and finish with Brass Monkey Tumble (exciting drama ending) or if pole slippery, back into gemini and goldrush or gemini – butterfly – Jamilla – tuck (emo ending)
    8. If any music left, drop into splits then curl up in a ball (emo) or crawl about sexily then get back on pole for some kind of dramatic invert finale: just a basic plank or inverted crucifix is good.

Fits most 3-4 minute songs lol.

Yesssss! I can’t see what exercises he recommends but I was still supposed to he resting and healing shoulders when I was playing with this https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/545ac15d-6654-41a3-bb2f-5baf0a9aa0eb

And I have not had trouble since I have been doing this – also plough and shoulder stand really help. Thanks Lucca for this. Am dying to see the actual exercuses niw!

Sparrow, oona spin looks to me like reverse grab to chair to backwards chopper to halfgemini to butterfly
    On static. Is that right?

Oh yeah! Outside leg hang! Home safe, I can sleep in gemini these days! (Credit to PrettyPixie for that saying). I already did gemini for G but I can gemini into some thingy on spin to make it pretty…

Is that when you gemini up high and them go into splits down the pole? Or is it that Russian one where you lean away like \
    ?

You are all so helpful! Thanks!💋💐

No handed open v hip hold and no handed spin down were my efforts, also recorded Nosebreaker drop and nearly actually broke my nose, took the hit on my shoulder instead! Got a nice graze off the carpet.

Everyone had trouble with N and no- handed stuff was what pretty much everyone came up with.

Now I need O and I should have saved the open leg V hip hold thing for tomorrow because I can’t think of anything else. Open Allegra? That’s just Allegra, isn’t it? Erm….

Can anyone think of an O?
    halp!

P I got pirouettes, planche, pike, pretzel, plank, passé, pencil, pageant rolls…

    O is …. 😟😶
    Argh

Lucca’s video https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/53e07804-9adc-4986-a4c6-6f080a9aa0eb is a really clear visual tutorial of a spin invert if you’re a visual learner. See how she pole holds and tilts diagonally then tucks up tips back and unfolds? That’s the basic spin invert right there, done simply and beautifully: she then moves into a leg hang and then increases the spin by a. Tucking in and B. Bringing legs nearer to pole – opening up a move by extending an arm or leg speeds you up, bringing legs or arms in speeds you, as Veena explains in her spin pole tutorial.

So if you want to air invert on spin, don’t go into a basic invert and bring legs/ankles to pole because yes, you will speed up! Go into a straddle/V/chopper and then a leg hang or whatever you want.

It’s been great for motivation, structured practice and creativity. Some days I post two or three times with different tricks because I can’t resist!

    So far I’ve done…
ABC – Attitude to Back Hook to Chair (all one spin) – catching up as late starter!
    D – Deadlift Shouldermount and Descending Transitions/Dismounts
    E – Elbow hook/Elbow Hang spins
F – Fan kicks and Flower Spin
    G – Gemini to Goldrush
H – Hangman to Hood Ornament, Hello Boys
I – Inverted Back Hook Tumble ( aka Brass Monkey variation)
J – Juliet spin to Jamilla, Jade split on spin
K – Knee hook spin and Knee Spin variations spin combo.

    Challenge paused today for Thanksgiving

Tomorrow I’m doing L for Layback (and Log roll/Leg Show if I have time.
    Then M will be Meathook.

Bit stuck on N. Any ideas?
    Xo

Well I had multiple letter I fails today: Icarus fail – iguana fail – and car to brass on spin fail, thank goodness I can still tumble into inverted back hook/ monkey! It’s an interesting challenge.

Tomorrow is J so the good old Jade gets wheeled out again and I want to try Juliet to Jamilla to Jade but 15secs isn’t enough time!

    Thanks again for help everyone!

Agh, duh me! Inverts! Sometimes I can’t see the most obvious stuff. Inverted back hook, ok can do that happily cos I meant to do brass monkey for B but did a spin combo thing instead. Yay, will do it from CAR or tumble.

Drama Queen I can do! The Q looks intriguing. I’m mostly sticking to moves I know I can do smoothly and using the challenge to try new stuff if time allows – it’s very motivating and helps me focus. It’s my first pole IG challenge!

    Thanks so much everyone!
