My most useful yoga flows are based round lizard. I go downward facing dog – plank – down dog – lunge – three legged dog – lizard lunge (foot next to little toe) – drop to forearm lizard lunge- then splits and general splits stretching.
Also warm up with salute to the sun with lots of down dogs, planks, cobras, chaturanga and updog,
And bridge/wheel/ fishpose things after doing body waves
And sirasana headstand drills

Ugh forearm and elbow grips ugh ugh caterpillar ugh. I tried hard, I tried both, they terrify me, I don’t feel safe, I fell out of extended butterfly from caterpillar and stopped poling for years and recently fell out if elbow grip Ayesha and the sprain still hasn’t healed so I gave up. Uploaded my basic butterfly instead, which is a spin in from inverted outside leg hook. Sorry.

Ps: elbow/forearm planks and related exercises ie plank lifting up one leg, plank bending knee to elbow – I do these when forearms are angry because it conditions shoulders and core and whole body without aggravating wrists and forearms. Might work for you?

Any encouraging words?I am nursing a recurrent flare up of chronic tendinitis in my forearms right now. I ignored best practice and did a heavy session of split grip for too long, with inadequate warm up and stretch down. Dull, inflamed ache wakes me every day at 5am. Ice and Ibrupriofen and pressure point massage are helping a lot.
I always recommend this great site for tendinitis and sports injuries and two massage therapist pros on the site have recommended it too; it’s science based, by a qualified person, citing peer reviewed sources and generally well thought of. Well worth a read.

What can we do to help?
You already have these moves shot for lessons,
can you simply play the demo of the remaining moves on a TV screen or laptop with sound muted (and music playing instead in the room), then hold your phone cam close to the screen and film it, then upload to IG? You don’t need to do any editing just film the bit where you demo the move in the lesson.Or do you want us to try to demo things and you repost or redirect?
