HI GUYS!!!! I just ran into this post, and noticed you were utilizing my old FYF videos. 🙂 I AM ELATED THEY WERE HELPFUL!!!!! Please connect with my FB and Instagram profiles (Finding Your Freestyle) — as the challenges we do now seem to work better for people in shorter bursts. So the YouTube postings are more and more rare these days. I also have some things planned for the future so I’m just glad to see these videos were helpful for you. :):) If you are ever in NYC – I teach this class weekly at Body & Pole!!!!!!! Also …. I forgot I have like ALL MY pole videos on here from the beginning – YIkES! I will keep them up because I’m proud of where I came from! OMG it is nice to see how much my body composition, strength, and awareness changed over the years.

IMPROV, Brilliant Pole Performance idea! When I was a teen, I entered an improv category of a dance competition (I think the genre was jazz) – it was quite an experience! I stood on stage and they played a random piece of music, 60 seconds long, for your once to hear. Then they gave u a few moments to collect your ideas, then you performed to that piece of music. It was really invigorating for me as a performer because I had no idea what to expect and I was def on my toes! I think it’s good to be a little jolted!

Speaking as someone who has taken his workshops, they are FABULOUS!!! Definitely an "ass"et as a guest master workshop in any pole studio!

My issue isn’t with playback. Mine is with uploading. Just so you are aware, I use a Mac and all my plugins and software (browsers) are completely up-to-date. I have attempted to upload .mov (Quicktime movie) and .m4a or .mp4 and I have glitchy audio and video issues with the video player. It stalls, hitches, and the audio pops and changes speed. I just wanted to know if there was an upload format that is going to be more studioveena.com friendly? Maybe I should try a windows formatted video like .wmv?
Let me know if you have any advice! Most of the videos I watch look great, and I have no issues with the player other than my own uploads. Thanks for all your hard work, I really really enjoy using and interacting with your site!!

Barbara won. She was very humble and surprised. I think some of the other competitors were none too pleased of her NYC heritage! They all did amazing though. Everyone brought something completely different to the table so comparisons are hard to make based on one category.
This was her first competition but she has been pole dancing for 8 years. I take class from her and it was so great to see her performance…she truly has complete control over her movement and does it with grace and class!

Ok so I went to the Pole Superstar competition and had a pretty stellar vantage point! What an amazing time!!! When I got home, I checked out the broadcast and noticed that it was subpar. Way too many CU and you didn’t get to hear all the incredible energy from the crowd. Also, you miss a lot of the performance quality and interesting angles. So by the end of this weekend, I will upload all of the performances I have (give or take a few seconds when the cameraman got in my way) to my YouTube account.
