I've been looking for pole dance for many years without finding how to get there. I had saw a girl (Tammy Morris) on a reality show and was amazed by the gymnastic side of stripper. But since i didn't know where to start it's only last year that i make the move. I was in one of thos depression mood again when i saw "pole art" on youtube. I just knew at this moment that i will have one pole…soon. Than i found SV and got all the information i need to choose my pole and that without studio i could learn with Veena lessons.  I found a studio at almost 2h from me and went for a try, alone with 4 other girls. After an hour i was standing on the sidewalk with my new X-pole and a …huge smilehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif.

We put it up in the living room/playroom the same night and it never went down for more than a hour. In 3 weeks my attitude had change so much, i got so much confidence. One year later i can tell you that i will never go back to the old me, i'm too happy with the me i discover. I  turn myself into pole preacher, i want to show everybody all the great things pole can bring into people life and get girls around me to try. I'm now know as the girl with the pole and sometime forget that i'm still an exception.

But someday we poledancer will rule the worldhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

From what Chem told us it's not a problem. I use it when i practice then clean my pole with alcool at the end… just in case. And about you wipes not sure the concentration of vinigar is enough in thati would think they dry after 2 minutes. Why not take a cloth and wet it with vinegar and put it in a ziplock bag, so you can use it many time.

The bonus would be that you can put in in you're dryer with you wet clothing and won't need to add antistatic like bounce https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

March 5, 2011 at 6:44 am in reply to: Hello Floor, Meet my Face!!

Here's a post i've done almost a year ago, feel free to laugh at me…i have learn my lesson now.

Last night i decide to pole a little bit just for fun and at some point to improvise some moves. So i went in invert and start to do stuff( don't really know what) it went well for the first 2 moves than I just went flat on my face https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif. It took me almost a minute to get up and go put an icepack on it because it hurt really bad. I think I had left my brain somewhere because there we're a bunch of warning sign and i just did it anyway. For a beginner it's always a trill to think of something new and we wish we could be as good as the more advance.

So here a few tips to respect at all time.
-Don't try to go faster than you should, there's a reason you're a beginner…you just begin.
-When trying a new move make sure you know how it's done and pratice safely (like invert = handstand)
-Keep cushion, pillow, anything under you to help the landing if a fall happen.
-And the most important thing I've learn (yes I've been told before) In all time, keep in mind a way to fall safely because it will happen at some point and it can happen with a move you're confortable with.

This morning the side of my left eye is a little sensitive but lucky for me no black eye https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_blackeye.gif, would be cute to my cousin wedding in a few days. My ego have a bigger bruise https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gifand it's hard for me to share this with you but I really care about you guys and don't want you to be as STUPID as have been. And I swear I will respect the warning sign from now on.

Remember safety first, you won't be able to pole if you hurt yourself

I clean my pole with alcool or vinegar and use gentle nail remover when i do the big clean up it strip it from build up.And put it down and separate pieces every 3 months, I have wait for more than 6 months last time and had some rought time trying to separate one part.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif You don't clean the tread or add anything on in just make sure you touch those part as less as possible. Than put it up and enjoy it.

For the not so smooth on spinny your pole might me overtight…or just like mine, i think something wrong i can untight it intil it fall still do the samehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

i was thinking about trying it too but with that kind of attitudehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I don't really like that show but a least it would be some exposure for the sport.  They are not ready for a sexy, strong womens.

Don't give up girl, pole dance is a bumpy ride. When i start i did hurt myself a couple of time and it was hard on me. Of course you lose strenght when you can't pratice but that don't mean that you will never be able to do those moves. In the beginning we want to learn all the move and it never go fast enough just relax and have fun.

The big question is do you enjoy poling? if it's only an exercise than you can go to the gym but if you like the fact that you can play and dance just keep working it's worth it. You'll get stronger with time and remenber that you can always use it just for fun and it's a workout too,

I had this problem for a couple of month, my skin was to dry and when i start to use lotion (before bed or in the morning) i saw a good difference. As long as you don't use it before poling it could help you.
