You can contact Melissa Manuel on Facebook. I just met her in Ireland at a training camp back in June & she has a studio space in Watar where she teaches.

    Dorian,

What would the shipping be like for a 36″ hoop sent to Hong Kong?

You can always write to X-pert in the UK. They are always planning new courses in different locations all the time so if they know the is interest then they can look into possibly setting one up sooner.

Although both courses were very good I found this one particularly good due to the spotting factor. Also remember that I took the Vertical Fance course back in 2007 so things in the pole industry have changed a lot since then. I don’t how or even if the Vertical dance course has changed since I took it.

    Hi everyone,

Since this last post I have taken the level 1,2,3 & 4 of the X-pert certification program & now I am even an X-pert instructor teaching the course to others in HK & other places tentatively booked for next year including New Zealand & Lebanon. This really is a great course for instructors & students who want to learn how to pole the correct & safe way. There is a huge emphasis on spotting & I also love the way the course gives variations of almost all moves for those who are either not strong enough yet or for those who find the move too simple.

Actually last year every video was for pole but since the start of 2014 every weekly video has been of hoop so you will definitely find them on my page. Already half a year worth of weekly tutorials.

I have about 6 male students scattered between my pole, hoop & silks classes & my husband is a full time instructor. Can’t wait to have you join us when you are in HK.

Well honestly I took the course about 7 or 8 years ago now. I did all 3 levels from beginner to advanced. I wasn’t rushing through, just took my time steadily but if I remember correctly I think I finished all 3 levels somewhere between 6-9 months.

Yes I did do the Vertical Dance one but not the IPDFA. The Bertical Dance one is run by KT Coates from the UK. A huge driving force in the pole community. She is the one who started the push to get pole dancing into the Olympics.

I still believe the YOR health brand is the best. It has a unique patented nutritional delivery system which helps you to absorb the most amount of enzymes through their products which the body needs and it has been clinically proven tht it works up to 3 times more effective than most market brands.

I use and also endorse YOR health products through my pole studio. This product I swear by and so do many of my students. They have really felt a difference when using the products, not only the protein powder. The thing that sets these products apart from the others is their unique patented NDS system (Nutritional Delivery system). You guys can try it and the best thing is that they have a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied but I do not know anyone who has return the products.

Here is a youtube video to explain more about the mine of products. If anyone is interested in trying them out then please let me know and I can help you to get started.

Hi everyone. I own a pole studio in Hong Kong called Pole Paradise Studio. My studio is the first one in Asia to use the pole away system. I love it as it give my students more room to play when I teach aerial hooo & silks classes. Check out my video.
    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MAV0oVRa0wc

  • O goodness, please do not intentionally fly out for the preliminaries. That is why we are accepting video submissions from ANYONE who does not live in HK. Feel free to e-mail me your video submission instead to info@poleparadisestudio.com

  • Yes you can submit a video that is more tricks based. Please do not feel obligated to come to HK if it is far for you. Where are you coming from anyway? It woudl be nice to have some music in the background but do not feel that yu have to have a routine fixed to the music.

Right now the costume is not an essential part of the preliminary rounds.

  • Thanik you so much for your inquiries. The video submission is actually on the 9th Sep. The 8th is for anyone who is in HK and will be auditioning in our studio.

We will be using interlock fabric for the silks so yes it is the stretchier kind due to the height of the venue.

The video can be routine or tricks based but we ask that you do no send us an edited viedo and if routine based then no the video submission does not need to the final routine if you get into the finals.

I hope that helps to answer everything and I look forward to receiving your application form.

I am a pole studio owner in Hong Kong. You can check out my website http://www.poleparadisestudio.com

I would not be able to stay for 6 months but if you would like me to teach occassional workshops then I could do this and if you have other aerial equipment such as aerial hoops and silks then I can also teach this as well.

@calbear. I’m a little confused as I did not get any confirmation that you wanted to share a room but that’s cool. I now have 2 other girls on the forum that want to share a room which will make 4 in total and only $25 per person per night. Are you cool with sharing with all 3 of us. If u did confirm with me before then I am so sorry if I missed it. So many events & workshops have been going on the last few weeks, just trying to keep my head above water. Please let me know if that’s cool with u & I can start a PM with all 4 of us to get introduced.
