You shouldn't have to feel that something is "wrong with ."  If the instructors make you feel that way, I don't think you should go back to that studio and surround yourself with that kind of negativity.  Everyone learns at their own pace and pole dancing is hard!  Keep trying and good luck!  =]

@adAstra:  You get three days free trial when you first sign up on the forum.  I think you have to go to lessons then sign up from there, I can't remember.

@ Adr1enne:  I'm kind of in the same boat as you.  I finished up to level 3 in a studio recently but decided to take a break to practise and build strength before progresssing…but oh no, how will I know how to train on my own?  So!  I ended up purchasing the gold membership from here and don't regret it one bit.  There are a lot of positive reviews on Veena's lessons so I think you'll definitely benefit and enjoy them.  There is a pole app called "Pocket Pole" but they only have videos of the move, you don't get the muscle groups used, points of contacts and such that you see here.  Plus, you have to buy the app to see all the moves…the light version has only some moves.

My friend found the Hot Pink Pole by Peek-A-Boo and I got one with her without reading into it or doing any research myself.  IT WAS SUCH CRAP that I ended up RETURNING it.  Moral of the story, don't get Peek-A-Boo.

What a neat thread, it's cool seeing what other polers do.  I'm a recent B.Sc. of molecular bio and biochem and am currently working as a research associate at a biomedical company.  Still trying to figure out what to do with my life though.

This is a bit off topic but I was wondering, does anyone know if the gold plating on the TG poles ever come off?  Kind of like with plated jewellry, how the colour fades over time …so I was wondering since I'm debating on getting a TG as well.
