Polergirl, I was JUST thinking/wondering about you this morning. I love your vids too, sooooo much. Sarah Holborow is one I've always liked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSK3aMbtP1w

I go through periods of self doubt too. Sometimes I feel like 'if only I didn't have this or this to worry about, I'd be so free from worry and (self) judgment.' But when I look at my students, who are all different sizes, I only admire and love their movements. It's so hard to do the same for ourselves sometimes….

    XOXO!!

    I can't see the links, sensual…

Can you go try shoes on first? At Cirilla's or someplace similar? I looooooove my 6 inch shoes. So comfy!

Does the princess grip have another name? I didn't see it in the gallery (looking for 'princess grip').

Ah, thanks…re-reading I see my question was already covered, too. I need some flashcards with grips and pole moves.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Are Veena and princess grip the same grip?

I love the cup grip, I feel way more secure in it after I realized that at the top of the move I can wrap my legs while my butt is still far out from the pole, very similar to an aysha.

Kyrelle–can you describe the chinese grip? It sounds like it's opposite of the cup grip?

I want grip aids, I only have Dry Hands, but rarely use it since sweaty palms usually aren't an issue for me. Some itac would be nice. My studio carries a whole bunch of clothing which is awesome. The tanks, hoodies, hats, and bags are studio branded. They also carry a couple styles of shorts (Mika and AMB).

They will be selling my hoops soon, too. 🙂

Shoes would be nice, too, but those would be super hard to stock I think.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6obNVJdrdc Ok, here at 1:53. Does it become a twisted grip aysha when you push out away from the pole??

It's a reverse aysha but pushed out away from the pole instead of keeping body close to the pole, it's more of an aysha position. The top arm position changes. I'll see if I can find a link…

I'm think I'm going to try to do this myself on a pair of clear heels I'm not crazy about, first practicing on some leftover tubing (from making hoops) to see how it wears. Wish me luck!
