corn huskers lotion and fine glitter should work well? I know I've applied glitter with regular lotion for hoop performances.

I'm pretty sure she is. 🙂 We're friends (outside of SV) and I'd buy it from her if I could! lol
-
Ditto, Charley! I literally laughed and cried when I saw Michelle and Samantha's routines….they were THAT amazing.
-
i'm visualizing an 'eg aysha' with the torso close to the pole as a 'straightedge with V legs', not really an aysha…which to me means creating a triangle of hips, shoulder/elbow, and legs (which are parallel to the floor).

It was incredible. I felt SO MUCH emotion while watching it. Amazing embodiment and movement and power and passion. Congrats!!

Juliana–thanks for the Eyes on Fire remix recommendation–i love to hoop to the song, i really like this one too!

I know everyone's different etc etc but I need to hear some stories of HOW LONG it took you/is taking you to get the aysha good and solid. I am being reallllly patient but wondering if I will EVER get this from all possible angles.
I can do the EG aysha with right elbow.
I can do the forearm grip aysha with left forearm.
I can NOT for the life of me figure out the SG aysha. Or switch the arms above.
I've been working on what I DO have off and on for months. It's been a slow process (and I practice alone and am a slow learner and don't get much practice time so there is a trifecta of 'this is never gonna happen' going on. lol)
Any BTDT???

$30 maybe? I’ve had mine for over four years. Yep, way cheaper.

I posted on that thread! There are several brands–Diva Cup is one, and that's the brand I have. I love, love, LOVE it. I even found that it 'shortened' my period by an entire day. Because the cup sits up by the cervix and I wear it my whole period, there is no residual 'spotting'. Once the flow stops, it has all been caught by the cup, KWIM?

So 'flirty thirty' won't cut it? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif
I also think 30, and heck, even 40 seems young, but I'm also not teaching in a college town so I don't know the dynamics.
Pole Fit 30+ (or 35 or 40+)? IDK.
I do know that Dame or Masters don't make sense to me though, personally.

I know! Who is writing the articles and editing (or not). Goodness.

I was thrilled when I saw a couple issues of Pole Spin at my studio, but I couldn't get past all the typos, grammatical errors and unwieldy sentences to really get to the content. I was so disappointed!!

Have you watched your instructor do the cat climb? Is she actually doing what she's describing?Trying to think it through in my head, how would you get any climb UP the pole if you're not moving the elbow UP the pole (ie toward the knees)?

I've been doing the bow and arrow…still clunky because I can't quite touch the toe to the floor. I'll work on it! Oh, I also had the brilliant idea of trying to V my legs out. BIG clunk!
I also like to sit up out of it, but for this particular 'mood' I want to exit another way. Thanks!

It’s a Chinese pole. I’d love to try one!
-
I have never seen or heard of the omni gym with rock-it stand before…I want! that is SO cool.
-
I think it's really cool, but I'm also in the camp of being slightly illiterate. I'd need diagrams. 😛
Along those lines…I was in an AFAA group fitness training last week and it was wayyyy out of my realm of normal. People wear TENNIS SHOES to work out? I had no idea. LOL.

can you post a video so we can help better? Pictures (videos) are worth a thousand words!

Unfortunately, I know for sure that I can't make it that day. 🙁 Is she doing ANYTHING else in the midwest? Would love for her to come to Indy while she's here, but I'm sure it's too late for that.

I doubt I can attend (whenever it is) but I wish I could!!

Ohhh, they are all similar and different in respects. They are all painful, but I think lyra is probably the most painful. I love that I can do more on the (lyra and silks, which I've only recently begun a little bit), because I already have strength from pole.
