    I have also totally not been stretching but am starting to do yoga daily. I will also throw in some stretches to help me with splits front and sides and backbends because those r the two main goals I have. I will also practice/work up to doing head stands daily. I have been totally out of the gym and poling for a real long time. I do not have a place for my pole right now but I am starting to do strength building workouts 3x a wk and cardio 5x. I’m so out of shape but my plan is to build my strength and flexibility now so when I am able to put my pole back up I will have a head start. 🙂

    @vdud that sounds great! I have a pilates studio around here and they have mat classes and semi privates and privates where u use machines. I would be totally fine w just mat classes. but do mat classes still get u in just as good of shape? And also I always here Pilates is the kind of exercise that u should really have an instructor to help u get the most out of it, do u think that is true? Or could I benefit from learning at home by myself still?

    @calbear do you do all of that at a gym or at home? That’s really cool you Do such a variety or workouts.

    Cool!!! That sounds great. Those are all great sounding resources for pole stuff too!!! Il check it out. It sounds like u don’t even need a studio haha

There aren’t any where I live right now so I think I will just stick w Veenas lessons and practice most days of the week! Hopefully that will help me. I’m still a beginner so I am going to add in some basic strength training and do lots of stretches!!! That is soo awesome that you guys get to go to a studio most days a week like that!!!!

    Hi do I know this is a few months late but I am interested in this!!!!! I don’t stretch at all :/ and naturally I am stiff as a board. Like can’t even reach my toes or begin to do a back bend. My goals would be awesome at splits of course back bends and front bends. Soo if anyone is on the same level as me or interested in starting with me just let me know 🙂 I’m super excited

    And scarlethoney I will def look into acrobatics more. I have already a little but the closest studios r a few hrs away :/ il keep searching tho lol it sounds like sooo much fun!!!!!

    *my goals r to build up my strength(be able to do inverts, and hold myself up on the pole for at least 15 seconds lol)
    *to tone up my whole body and lose inches (not sure exactly how many cuz i dont wana be like i wana lose 3 inches and realize thats an unrealistic goal so im just guna stick to saying i just wana tone up, the less jiggle the better)

    ok so my starting plan for my workout is
    *run 30 min every day
    *strength train 30-60min every other day
    *pole 1 hr at least every other day

    my eating plan
    *at least 8c water every day
    *smaller portions
    *2c green tea
    *eat 5 servings of fruits and 5 servings of veggies
    *increase protein and iron
    *cut way down on junk foods (sweets, salty stuff, fattening junk, frozen foods, etc)

    i cant find a measuring tape so il put up my inches and everything as soon as i find one.
