A good healthy mix of BOTH is great if you have the option to attend a local studio 🙂
Veena's lessons are fabulously broken down and are accessible across the globe. What's greater than that?? Veena (and Webmaster) are also fantastic about getting back to you if you have questions, concerns or just downright need help with something.
The SV community (as you can see here) is also a great group to be involved with. It seems like there is always someone willing to reach out whether your a newbie or have been around since the begining 😉 It's nice to have a group to celebrate your achievements with and get feedback from.
Which brings me to pole studios. I'm fortunate enough to attend classes @ Brass Vixens in Toronto. Fabulous instructors that think outside the box and keep things fresh whether you're basic/beg/int/adv.
I agree with the above statements, a quality instructor/studio is a blessing! Instructors / Students encourage eachother and also help you step outside of your comfort zone. 🙂 Some people just need a push and a classroom environment just might do the trick.

Hi Jade 🙂
Dustbunny hit the nail on the head.
As far as I can remember, all of the gals submitted videos of themselves. Actualy if you hit up youtube and type in "Miss pole dance canada submission" some of the videos are still up.
There are two different categories, ametuer and Pro I think. This years Pro submissions were juried by the actual judges and Ametuer was judged by online votes (to get into the show).
You can also ask Hoddska on here as she was in the Ametuer division this year 🙂
Rumour has it that Toronto will be the city for next years show, but you never know.
Happy Poling!

Tough choice 😉 i have a ss PS multi piece and an XPole TG at home, i used a brass pole at the studio i go to. Initially i was a brass snob and had a hate on for the SS, so i picked up the TG (it’s closer to Brass) too. Now I use all three types and can’t complain at all!
Personally, its seems like there is a bit of a learning curve for each type when you’re either just starting your pole training or when you start working on a new metal. I bet that regardless of what you get, after an initial period of kicking and cursing, you’ll be busting out moves on it in no time 😉 -
i'm in in in! must post before pic!

Good thread 🙂
Personally i'm make up free about 95% of the time. I never got accustom to the feeling of having a layer of foundation / powder etc on my face. I belive that my skin thanks me for this 😉 (I never have breakout etc but that could be diet related too). Occasionally if i'm a bit washed out i'll pop on some mascara and light eye shadow, usually in the winter time maybe once or twice a month. Gosh i'm lame haha!
For photoshoots, performances and such i'll wear eye make up. Sometimes fake lashes or (very very seldomly) a bit of blush/bronzer. Never foundation, no powder.
I'm honestly happy without it 🙂 but i do have a small collection of Vegan mineral make up for those special occasions 🙂 I get them on etsy as well. Different shop though

in case anyone is looking 🙂

SO excited for this! 🙂
went to Palm Beach last year and had an absolute blast!. I did bring the hubby (who loved every moment of it, i mean what man wouldn't want to be around 100's of fit, beautiful women right?).
The workshops are a bit steep price wise, because i was a bit of a beginner, i didn't really think I would be up to par to benefit from them, but i had girlfriends who attended some and had a fantastic time 🙂
Hopefully we get to met up!

and here is a twitter link to round everything up!
