    Looks like you're off to a great start! I would definitely include legal language about waivers, disclaimers of liability, etc. in there. Not to scare people, but to protect yourself.

    –all sorts of drops
    –flag invert
    –straight-legged aerial inverts and shoulder mounts

    And always…. flow and fluidity.  🙂

    I will never grow mine out again. I love love love my super short hair. But I do have significant hair envy when I see dancers flipping and tossing these gorgeous manes around.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

    Since I bleach mine from very dark brown to white, I only wash it once a week or so. Most other days I "wash" it with conditioner or just massage my scalp while I'm in the shower. It helps keep it from breaking off from all the chemical processing.

    I really want to do skype jams (thinking of buying an iPad2 or 3) and would definitely want to record, so I'm dying to know how y'all do it!

    I have found that one of the best ways to improve flow is to force yourself to dance. I like to warm up by dancing at least two songs, one with no spins or tricks. It forces me to reconnect with myself as a dancer, with my music, with the floor, with the pole as something not for spinning but for slinking around.  As you freestyle more and more, you'll notice that you're using certain combinations that feel good and right for your style and your body. That's how transitions often get made.  🙂  

    And record yourself. Even if it makes you feel weird and uncomfortable, record yourself. Start the camera as soon as you start warming up (better chance that you'll forget it's there… if you're constantly stopping/starting it recording, you won't be able to forget lol). You'll be amazed at how much you learn from watching yourself dance!

    I also learned it in reverse–I had a lot of fear and figured if I could control it coming down, I could control it going up.

    Before I tried that, though, I did a ton of conditioning from the floor, as previous posters mention. 🙂

    Nope, that's (I think) called assisted stretching. The resistance stretching involves contracting opposing muscles to the ones you're stretching. That's a way way way way simplified explanation, lol.

    –Buxom mascara, available at Sephora. Looks like I'm wearing false eyelashes–and I don't have lush full lashes to begin with.

    –Also the low-level peels available from makeupartistschoice.com — they're miracle workers. I use the lactic acid peel weekly and my skin has never looked better or been so smooth and soft.

    –Tarte lip stain. In a word: awesome

    Poler's butt=have you ever seen a droopy or flat botty on a pole dancer who's been dancing for some time? I'd be willing to bet that's a no, lol.  I always had a flat-ish butt. Nicely shaped but no roundness. Now, I have a butt that could make a butt model jealous, lol.  😉

    I have a tendency toward bulk and have naturally broad shoulders–pole has given me a lot of definition but not “manly” bulk. And my waist is down about an inch and a half because of the core work required for pole. I look anything but manly. 😉 And ditto chemgoddess about the butt. Pole dancers have GREAT butts!!

    Pole changed me fundamentally–actually, maybe it didn't change me so much as it allowed a part of me out that I'd always pushed down. Since I started poling I carry myself differently. I stand taller. My strides are purposeful and thoughtful. Everything about my movement and my carriage I owe to pole bringing it out in me. 

    I feel like a woman. I feel strong. I feel beautiful in ways many women never get to experience, which is unfortunate.

    Chemgoddess, I love hers too–not only does she get her legs so far apart, but she has her body far away from the pole, which I think looks great.
