Wow that’s powerful! I need to remind myself to SLOW DOWN once in a while and not stress over every little thing. Thanks for sharing. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

I have one of those poles you are talking about. They are crappy. I’ve had mine for 3 weeks and it’s seriously already time for a new one. The PLASTIC threading is already warping. Anyway, my husband is the one who has to tighten it and when he does I’m able to spin any which way. Are you sure it’s as tight as you can possibly get it? There shouldn’t be a reason you only spin one way. I know what you mean about it loosening because mine does the same thing if it’s not tight.
I don’t have a set routine I do. I warm up, usually do a workout and then pole for about an hour. I practice all my spins and try new spins and I work on any inverts I’m learning (I"m only 3-4 weeks into it myself). I jam some music and dance around and move to it. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble. I am in the same boat as you as far as the pole thing goes. I ordered a pole not knowing what to go with and it was the peek-a-boo pole also. I couldn’t set it up for anything, the thing is quite ridiculous. My husband saved the day and every other day he has to adjust it and tighten it because even with little ‘ol me swinging on it it loosens up easily. I haven’t had any problems with it taking skin off. I’ve never caught myself. It really is a piece of crap but for right now it’s serving it’s purpose for me. I figure I’ll get started on it and in a 6 months or so I’ll invest in the right pole. Don’t let it get you down! Some women on here have home made pole’s! Your husband/bf (I can’t remember if you were married) needs to set it up. He should be able to understand the impossible instructions, (it was Greek to me) and tighten it up for ya. Hang in there and DON’T GIVE UP!

That’s an awesome idea. I would totally makes plans to go! I’d love to meet everyone and "pole out!" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Okay, I don’t have one, I need to think about it, but I am LOVING what everyone is coming up with! I’m reading them nodding my head "yup, yup, yup" LOL They are great!

I think that’s awesome. People are so closed minded and scared of change. If there weren’t poles in bars and strip clubs they wouldn’t give a hoot! If they tried it, you know they’d love it, hehe. *One Day* I would love to open a studio and I say BRING ON THE PRESS!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

You really have to embrace your own body whether there is improvement you want to do or not. I’ve lost all my baby weight but I still feel I don’t look "sexy" when I dance. I feel weird and I think I look silly. Confidence is what makes a person of ANY size look HOTT!!!! Pole dancing is a very different type of dance for me. I did gymnastics and ballet and that really shows through my dancing which is great, but I don’t think it’s "pole" dancing, lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif . So my advice to you would be to work on your confidence. Once you are confident in the way you look and move, the rest will fall into place!! Have fun!

Hi and congrats on your new little bundle of joy! I did the single mommy thing for about 3 years before I met my husband. You will love pole dancing! It will quickly turn into an addiction https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif . You’ll be loosing the baby weight in no time https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I’m brand new at all this so I can’t give you a solid answer, but my thinking would be that everyone has a different style of dance. Everyone feels and moves to the music differently. Maybe that’s where the different walks come from https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif Just thought I’d throw it out there!

I’m a beginner. I joined about a week ago and just got my pole in the mail 2 days ago. I posted my very first video last night. Watching all the videos, beginner or advanced, is all it takes to motivate me. I watch someone and run downstairs to my pole to try out a move I saw and liked https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif . I don’t have a webcam but I’ll join you in discussions! Great idea!

I thought your performance was terrific! We all have wardrobe malfunctions. I thought you meant the top came off and you didn’t have a bra on, so at least you had the bra on!! You kept going and you rocked!! Don’t feel bad about yourself, it was great https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Those are cute! I’ll have to think about some bottoms.

I wish I could help, I don’t know a lot about YouTube. I wonder if you can block the person from seeing any of your video’s. I can’t believe some people are so rude like that. I’m sure they can’t do what you do! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif
