although I will admit to getting on the scale daily I really take my measurements and clothes fit into consideration. When i first added Jillian workouts last year my weight didn't budge when I first started doing them, however my clothes were getting loose and those that had seen me over the summer then saw me in Jamaica all commented on my weight loss ( I hadn't lost a pound just inches) I did after that lose 17 lbs and even more inches and went down a size, now when my scale tells me I'm gaining I consult my measurements and as long as they are the same or lower I tell my scale its lying to me 😉 I wear a size 6 (actually 6's are a bit big on me) and am right at 140 at 5'5.

I would stop "training" and just enjoy what you know. Play with new songs. Play with extending your lines on moves you already know and just have fun with it . Too many people get bogged down in I have to know every trick right now. I can tell you from your photo's you have more tricks to do after 5 months then I do after 4 years! Enjoy those moves play with them  and you will still be building your strengh to add to your future moves.

While I think the exercises on the BeSpun ones are pretty good I own them and do not use them because they aren't set up very user freindly to work out along with. From what Alethea has told be about hers they should be very user friendly.

yep I know. And I'm not saying there is anything wrong with your lessons for people with fast internet and no limits on their downloads they would be great. But like right now just trying to load the youtube one it was jerky and took a long time to download, when I had your lessons I had dial up and it was even more of a pain. If I go to a cyber cafe I can watch them but then by the time I get back to a pole I'm like now what did she say? I'd still be a dvd junkie, but I would most likely have yours too if they were easier to deal with.

that is how Jamilla's are too but I can't remember 8 counts of 8 when I'm done and want to put it to MY music istead of her music and her voice.  Maybe I just have a crappy memory. So I just break them down even further. But at least on hers I don't have to keep using my limited G's of download to keep watching over and over until I get it which I know is not a problem for those with unlimited internet but that is not the case for me.

FeeDen yes the music on Veritcal dance 1 drove me nuts too. Along with the marching around the pole lol. 2 is better.

I actually like sort routines, even Jamillas are too long to really do without watching the dvd the small sequences on Bespun are great for putting together 3-4 things. I can remember that and its easy to put them in a longer routine. As I said I haven't seen Veena's though.

I like bespun's for putting together short series of moves, samething I like the Art of Pole routines ones for. Veena now has routines in hers as well, but I'm not sure how they are set up. For learning moves I lean more towards liking the art of pole. But as I said I actually struggle to learn from dvd's. Even though I have a great memory it is hard to figure out what comes next while your upside down in the air…..

I own, (yes i'm a junkie) the whole art of pole series inculding her tease dvd and both routines ones. all three shelia kelly s factor dvd's (its where I got my start) All three bespun dvd's and the 3 bespun's on conditioning, foam roller and flexibility. Fawnia's pole play, JK Defies Gravity Extreme Polework, Shauwn Frances Lee's Slink, slide and melt. Vertical Dance 1 and 2, Pantera's poletricks, Polecats (shauwn frances lee) Live Onces new Chair Dance dvd and I ordered both of Alethea's dvd's. Not to mention my teacher training DVD https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

I will still get myself a brass pole one of these days. I just love them. One of the private clubs around here has one and I'm sure it wasn't polished in about 4 years before I started going there and I still had the best grip on it of my life. The chrome x-poles are pretty grippy for me most of the time but I still want a brass. But it will have to wait because my next pole will be a stage pole.

I have one my stepdaughter brought me back from China. It sits in the box never worn because it is just too hard to get on and off and with all the physical things I do it would get in the way of too many things.

I will end up getting them as I said I'm a DVD junkie. Which is sort of odd since I don't feel I learn from them or Veena's lessons nearly as well as I do from live instructors. I actually gave up my subscription to Veena's lessons not because I didn't think they were good but because of having to redown load them everytime. At first I was on dial up and it would take 2 hours to load a lesson. Now I have a wireless card but having to download them everytime eats up my 5g for the month, a dvd I can replay 9zillion times without downloading again or continueing to pay. But my far prefered method is to drive 3-6 hours and take a workshop or a private lesson with a good teacher. lol or go campout in Empy's house for a few days!

I can't even get through a night with stickon nails. I pop them off all over the dance floor or in the bathroom pulling up my pants lol!!!!

I do Shellac nails. No chips no breaking for 2 weeks. Some people get 3 weeks out of them, but between kids, horses, pole and busting open hundreds of boxes every night at work 2 is my limit. well worth the 30 bucks for them to look fab. I also get them done in vinatage half moons so you don't see the grow out line. in two weeks if I didn't do that I would have a quarter of an inch of white at the bottom of my pretty red nails.
