I used to use Icy hot until I tried the arbonne version my husband and I both think it works much better and its all natural 🙂 it really helps muscle soreness. My second favorite is the one my chiro uses but grrr I can't remember the name and its not in stores (neither is the Arbonne, its a product line I sell) I love arnica for bruises.

  • Katt originally they were going to do 45 and up, but didn't think they'd get enough entries even with it being open to more then just the Midwest.

yep all the strength in the world will not help you if you don't have a grip. I struggled for years with my stainless steel pole even last night I couldn't get a grip on it, so went over to my chrome and volia all of a sudden I could pole without a ton of grip aids that I have to use on my stainless steel.

However I will also say it took me years to do a inverted V!!!!

hmmm I had no problem getting it I preordered it the minute it went up for sale and it shipped on the day it said it would. Now if only it was so easy to do the tricks, but I knew going in I wouldn't be able to do most of it but I'm a pole DVD junkie.

I'm with Chem on this one. You don't want to push it and end up like me with lifetime non reversable nerve damage. Take the time to heal, work on some floorwork or things that don't agravate the arm, when it heals start back slow but you will be surprised at how fast it comes back.

I personally learn better from going to class, if a decent one can be found. I own tons of  DVD's and have subscribed to veena's lessons before and while they are well put together I find for me nothing replaces someone beside me telling me what to do watching me do it, make modifications ect. I would be so much farther in my poling if I had access to a studio, I travel when I can to take lessons. But different people learn better in different ways.

thanks for posting that Runemist, that is more of what I was expecting when I went to the webpage!  I'm sure I will be getting them lol I'm a Pole DVD junkie, I just wanted to know a bit more about them before I did. Now if my accountant would just call with the magic number of what my refund is that would be great.

yeah I wouldn't want one because of the having to use a mat, but I like to dance in heels. If your more of a pole fit type person and less a pole dance in heels type person they would be ok. I do like that you can take it to the beach and put it in the sand, but I have no beach around here lol.

nope I find the 45 painfully small for any thigh grips. give me a nice 50 anyday. I wouldn't even try anything on a 38.

I can not find a good place for my thighs in this move. The standing joke is the world will end the day Aleatha gets me into this lol

there are several threads on the star stand alone.

Personally unless they recently made changes to them to improve them they are an expensive piece of scrap plastic.

the piece of wood is about 6 inches long (this part is laying same direction as the stud) about 3.5 inches wide and an inch thick. It is held up by 2 screws that go into the stud at either end of the 6 inches. pole is screwed through the middle of the piece of wood and into the stud. It has been very secure since we did it this way.

my minx is stainless and slippery as snot most of the time (unless its humid then I can stick like the dickens)

its not just the vaulted adapter the girl that owned mine before me had the same problem and she had a flat ceiling.

I have the minx and the vaulted ceiling adapter, it ate through my ceiling within a few months causing me and the pole to come down. Now we have a piece of hardwood between the adapter and the ceiling with the screw going through that. It has been rock solid for several years like that. So solid I can't get it down lol. But the screw doesn't seem to be able to eat though the hardwood like it did the drywall ceiling.

lol on the 38's. I wouldn't even consider going to a studio that had 38's not that you really find them here in the US anyway. I would never be able to do anything that required thigh grip I can barely do  leg grips on a 45, 45 at least I could do some things although a CAR would be out of the question and a CKR I'd have to be incredibly careful, because of the way my thighs are built.

I think my minx is jammed, it doesn't lift up, not even for my 6ft1 former army ranger husband.

yes but different people react differently to different poles. I can only use my stainless steel Lil minx if it is humid because I have dry skin not sweaty. remember your students will not always have the same skin type as you. I do like charlies idea of different finishes. personally I would rather put up the x-s with the domes then minx's though, but that is me I have never been able to get my minx down. ever. but that could be because we put up a wood block on the beam because orginally the minx ate through my ceiling and came crashing down. Now its safer but I haven't been able to get it down since!
