even in Jamaica I didn't sweat while poling lol so I own no products geared towards sweaty skin.

just going to pipe in here for a minute…"pricey but at least we will be safe" mats do not make you safe, you make yourself safe by not doing things beyond where you are. Now that said mats are nice to have so if you do have an opps hopefully you don't get hurt. But just because they are there don't feel like oh I can try that because I have mats I'm safe.

I like Itac on the pole. Dew point on body and HANDS. yes I know it says not to put it on your hands but my hands are so dry specially in winter if I don't then I crack and bleed. Sometimes I use corn huskers lotion on hands and body. Just depends on the weather and skin conditions lol.

when I want tons of grip on my legs I just use my thigh high pleasers 🙂 although have gotten stuck upside down in them. I mainly use them when I know I'm going to be doing new tricks over and over like at a workshop. I wore them when I did 4 back to back Karol Helms workshops for the 3rd workshop because my legs were getting brusied and sore.
I hae dry skin and used to try a bunch of the grip aids but now I tend to make sure I mosturize well a little bit before poling with a non greasy lotion and my favorite grip aid is because it makes my skin moist.

While I'm not a Dr, I would say since an IUD is a blocking device as opposed to a altering chemical it should be fine. I know there have been issues with oral BC just like there is with antibotics.

just be aware they can make your birth control pills if your on any ineffective.

I'm only 5'5 but I always joke that most of my height is my legs and I have long fingers and toes.
-
lol compared to you I have HUGE hands. 7 inches across the way you measured and my fingers touch around a 50 like yours do on a 45.

yes but you most likley bought a CD or got them off I-tunes which is for buying them for personal use according to the law.
-
sorry no experience with selling a business but just want to give you a cyber hug and a hope it all works out for you!
-
you bought the music for personal use not for use in a situation where you are making money off it.

I only use firefox. This is the only forum I'm on that it doesn't work for. Every other fourm spell checks it and lets me know if there is a spelling error as I type.
-
actually I have never been able to get the spell check on here to work properly. It always locks up my page, then I have to x out of studio veena entirely and come back in and redo everything. I have found it easier if you care about your spelling and are making a long post to write it out in word, then copy and paste to the reply box. And whatever you do don't hit submit more then once no matter how long it is taking to post because if you do you will end up with multiple replys that you also can not delete.

sparrow, I don't know about now, but when I had mine shipped to me from a girl in new york 5 ish years ago it was 75.

I second Chem. A matter of fact I just took mine down after it had been up for years which by the way you should take it down monthly to let the ceiling resettle not leve it up for about 5 years like I did and I had to fight to get it down.

MemberDecember 1, 2011 at 6:03 pm in reply to: How long did it take to adjust to a new pole???your so not alone! I never could really use my stainless steel. My chome is MUCH better and easier for me to do things on, I had them both up at the same time for awhile and would go back and forth between the two and it was so crazy what I could do on the chrome that I couldn't do on the Stainless. Heck and still can't do. I finally took the stainless down. One club that I go to has a brass one I get to play on and that is the bomb.com! I did my first real teddy on it my first layback ect. because I never could stop sliding enough to do them on the stainless.

Hugs sweetie, I really can relate to your pain Been going through something similar myself.
. My mom was hospitalized on Oct 18th and was in the ICU for 22 days, in the hospital for 25 and almost died. She is in rehab now trying to get strength back. She will be released next week 25 days in rehab. On my husbands b'day Nov 3rd his father passed away. We knew it was coming he was diagnosed in late Sept with an inoperable rapid growing cancerous brain tumor. Thank goodness mom was starting to improve as we had to drive to NC for the funeral. On top of that hubby was laid off from his job Mid-October he was actually at corperate office in VA the day my mom went in to the hospital. Even though techically it was his last day of work they paid 400 extra to send him home to me faster. They would have loved to have kept him on but there just wasn't the contracts for him to work on. I lost the space I was going to rent for the studio, although that might work out in the end because of something else that opened up. And my oldest daughter got pnumonia right before T-day. I haven't danced in about 7 weeks. I've gained a crap load of weight and feel like I'm working on "emotion light" or emotionally numb.
Luckily my hubby is my biggest supporter and fan has been totally wonderful through all this!

." I bet that regardless of what you get, after an initial period of kicking and cursing, you'll be busting out moves on it in no time ;)"
Not in my case. 5 years and I still can't do squat on the SS mynx. Some very basics yes. But a teddy? or a hip hold? heck no. Fallen off of it for lack of grip way to often.

it is so different for everyone. the only time I like my stainless is when it is incredibly humid. The brass one at the one club we go to is almost always perfect whether it is humid or freezing cold. I went for Chrome for my second pole (ss was my first) and I could do things on it day one of it being here that I could never do and still can't on my Stainless Steel. I have actually considered having it powder coated but with opening the studio soon I figure I don't really need two poles at home.
