A tip for your desk at work-
Write a note and stick it somewhere that you'll look at often (phone, drawer.. something) and have on it something to the effect of "Shoulders down and back, stomach in" so you're constantly reminded to check and fix your posture.
It's definitely helped me. 🙂

To watch the documentary 🙂 It's showing here (Aus) in two hours or so.. So I'd wait until tomorrow before it's ready for you to see it online. 🙂 -
Hey, your feet and my feet could be best buddies!! 😛 I've also had plantar fasciitis- it's horrible!!
My feet have been going GREAT now, I've started doing these (below) exercises three times a week. It doesn't take long, and it's been SUPER helpful.
1. 3×15 of this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_sCYwXaoRc
I originally just used a tissue. Also, rather than pulling it in with the toes, I spread out my toes wise, and use the 'ball' of my foot, to pull in the tissue. Once you get the hang of that, you can do it sans tissue.2. Heels together, lift up onto toes. 3×15
3. 3×10 point your toes- but do it slow and controlled, so ankle, foot, then curl toes in.
Like I said, it's simple, easy and has made a huge difference to my feet- aesthetically and practically. No more pain, and I seem to actually be developing an arch now.. albeit tiny, but hey, I'll take it!!

MemberJanuary 10, 2013 at 9:46 pm in reply to: Water drinking challenge? / how to drink more water?I LOVE water.. I can't fathom how you cannot?! That being said, I really dislike soft drinks and anything flavoured.. So.. yeah
To help me drink 'enough' water, I have a water bottle at my desk (or wherever I'll be frequenting most often throughout the day), and make sure I get through the bottle throughout the day.

MemberDecember 21, 2012 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Reducing fat but keeping muscle… While being vegetarian :SDon't take this the wrong way, but please don't call yourself vegetarian, when you're not. Just state that you don't eat red meat. It makes it SO hard and confusing to others who think then that all 'vegetarians' eat chicken, or fish, and in some cases, red meat occasionally. So then for eg. if I am to attend a barbeque where I'm told vegetarians will be catered for, and I'm then given chicken or fish.. It's rather embarassing and awkward on both sides to have to explain that that ISN'T vegetarian. Not to mention, I (and other vegeo's in the same boat) would go hungry.
That aside… Google vegetarian recipes, there are millions. Cut back on pasta and cheeses- particularly 'yellow' cheese.Opt for more fetta, ricotta styles, and if you can, goats milk cheeses are better. (Note- not all cheeses are vegetarian, if they contain rennet, they aren't vegetarian. Rennet is calves stomach/lining).
Up your intake of grains, svelt is great, as is quinoa and they both have a fairly high level of protein in them.
Plenty of dark green vegies, they're you're best friends!
Bananas are ace, too.
You can get svelt wraps (amongst many other kinds) which are better than bread, so grab those and stuff with vegies, beans legumes etc. -
Eep! I think I'll have to pass, sorry. 🙁

You're not in Australia by any chance? :S

Jivete! I can whinny, too!! I get so many horses talking back to me, too. Hahah. I my friends with horses love it, 'cause when I neigh at their horses, they (the horses) become so alert and look great in photos. It's well fun. 🙂
I can communicate well with most animals..to be honest. Alpaca is a fun one. 😛
Not such a fun one, but I've got a really keen sense on who has had, or is (less impressive) depression/depressed.
I can read backwards very easily. Also can say words backwards easily. My favourite is Playstation.. Noitatsyalp is an awesome word. 😛
This thread is awesome haha.

Voted 🙂 Good luck!

As the above lovely ladies have said, and ALSO, I find flexy training a couple of days a week, for around 6-8 weeks, then having a week off, or maybe only one gentle day, makes a world of difference to my flexibility. 🙂

Some great recipes here!!
For the pets one, though- I strongly advise to NOT use garlic, as it can be toxic to dogs. A SMALL amount SHOULD be fine, but I wouldn't risk it anyway. Other than that, those bikkies look yummy as!

Looks like I can do them. Still, hurts the hip socket/joint more than anything. 😛
Thanks! ^.^

Can someone please show me how to test if you're able to do the side splits? I've learnt to do my front splits, but have stagnated on the side splits. Now, when I stretch them, I rarely feel a stretch in my groin, it's basically all in what I assume is the joints of my hips, on the outside of my legs, but deep, if that makes sense. I'm thinking I may not be able to do them.. but.. am not 100% convinced..yet, haha. OH, faith. 😛
Bahahaha, CapFeb "(what has two thumbs and is ultra lazy….)!!
-
Not sure if this will help any.. but I found having my leg/knee hooked lower enables me to push my hips forward easier and, therefore, let go. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
