Further Update:
We now have a location and date. The event is to be held on October 17th at Mist in Baltimore, MD. Pole Pressure is signed up and I am currently awaiting other studios to give me thier green lights.
There might be some mention to it on Pole2Pole as they are giving me free press and a prize.
Its gonna be a fab show and so excited this is coming together!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I got a freebie sample at pole convention. I know Karol Helms swears by this stuff. The stuff I got its great of holds, your hands arent going anywhere in this stuff. I was also using it on brass so that might not of helped either.

for me it was when I reached the point of no return and I have to do the move, my brain would just go "LU WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" and I freeze. Ive been starting low and laying back until my fingers glide by the floor, thats when I feel confident getting it. I also would do it in reverse from the ground to teach my body the motion and know how my abs should feel. Now only I could stop sweating between my thighs, Id be even better.

I had 2 that were do able. Both by the same artist. Miranda Lambert
House that Built Me – very powerful and could be very dramatic
Gunpowder and Lead – I could totally pull this one off as long as I could get the jade. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif Again I could put alot of energy into this one.

MemberJuly 16, 2010 at 11:04 am in reply to: really worried i cant pole ulnar nerve??I am constantly rotating my wrists. I work in an office and use the keyboard constantly. I also have one of the gel pads to rest my wrists on.
One thing I do at the gym to help with my wrist strength is weights. Start out with small weight (no bigger than 5lbs), hold it with your palm facing up. Fingertips looking towards you. Lay your arm on something flat with your weight and wrist hanging over. Your going to pull up the weight with your wrist. I do about 10-15 of them and switch to the opposite way. Then your fingers facing down and pull up.
The strength in your wrists come from your forearms. Thats why baseball players have big forearms since its better grip for them for the bat. Ive been doing that and have felt a difference in my wrists and my grips.
I got that exercise from my husband. Hes a former personal trainer and he has a degree in exercise science. So hes my go to for training outside of pole.

I have my personal FB and then I have a Team Lulu fanpage. I personally dont have a problem mixing the two, b/c I think Id get confused between both pages. Granted I have to check fb a few hours b/c it would take me forever to check facebook.

I did one with Amber Ray at Pole Convention. I learned few new things. We had so many folks in our class that we did doubles poling. Which is fun b/c I hardly get to do that. Her warm up was the most fun warm up I had been too. I did a progress a bit and really got comfortable on being on spin on an x stage (neither one I had done before).
I totally believe in taking workshops when you have the funds. IMO you never top out on learning, theres always a new spin, trick, hold, performer etc. It wont ever get old! I never want to plateau!

I would do alot of WOW moves – holds, inverts etc. The theme is circus and they are all about shocking the viewers. If you have a move none of the students have seen from you I would do it then.
You could always dress like a ringleader for it too.

NO! Im right handed and theres alot I can do right handed but inverts Im left handed. Sometimes doing a move on my left just doesnt feel right. But you have to work your non dominate side to get it as equally strong as the other side.

Thank you! I’m still email-less. My palms are sweating + I’m watching reruns of Psych to keep my mind off it. I’m trying to stay awake for the email. My husband is finding this all funny watching me all nervous + not being able to stay still.
