Pink, I know how you feel.  I just had my moment of self esteem issues the other day.

Im probably the most comfortable bbw you will ever meet in life.  Im happy in my size but I still have my moments where I wish I was a size 2.  Ive been the same size for about 2yrs and while im happy there, I would like to be smaller.

The other day at work we hired a new helper for service.  Shes very pretty and cute.  Shes young and has 2 kids.  I was taken back b/c Im not much older than her and my body did not snap back like that after having 2 kids.  Knowing she would be a girl all the guys at work would be looking at, I got discouraged.  Every issue about my body from the past 26yrs (which is alot of issues – the joys of being a bigger gal your whole life) came back and flooding at once.  I wanted to be her, I wanted to be the girl that made guys turn heads b/c of my looks not b/c im either getting mad at one of my kids or that im pumping gas in my pole shorts.  I was depressed after that moment. I didnt want to get out bed, I didnt want to get dressed, I was sad.  OMG I was crying over the fact someone was much prettier than I am!

Its been a few days and im over it.  From my story take from just to learn body acceptance and if you work on it you can have it.  There are things you can do to make the appearance you have it.

  • The perfect sound is done in editing.  WMM, is a basic program and pretty user friendly.  Im upgrading to imovie whem my mac arrives this week so I may have a different opinion.

Im not sure if you can get WMM on a flash drive and install it on your computer.  Im not that tech savvy for that.

Once you get an editing program, you just mute your audio from your video and instert your own song!

I just got my own pole in Jan after from taking classes for almost 5 yrs.   Due to spacing, it cant stay at my house. Its in my moms laundry room.  I have a key to her house and anytime I want to come and pole I just come on in!

The game plan for me is to still take class once a week and what I learned in class, I work on at my at home sessions.

For me, I love the studio I go to and the girls who are both clients and instructors.  Its great to get a socialization hour in for me since my schedule can get pretty crazy.  My biggest issue with them is that I feel like they dont want to be helpful to any studio but them.  I feel like you mention 'the enemy', they dont want anything to do with you.   Ive paid alot of money to stay with them and continue classes.  Ive been a big unpaid spokesperson for them and brought in lots of new client.  Maybe a bit more respect would be appreciated.

Im going for my group fitness as well.  The community college near me offers it as a summer course, its $405 to take the class and take the test.  You may want to look into that.

Im thinking I want to do something in fitness/nutrition.  I really dont see myself at my desk job for the rest of my life.  I kinda see myself doing kids nutrition and fitness, but I do want to open my own studio one day.

@Dayanara – that was a great album!  But I cant wait to see what you come up with.

I have to narrow it down to which song.  Im leaning towards Dont Speak.

I just got a new pair thanks to HoP and I am in LOVE!!! http://store.houseofpole.net/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=711%2DChrome

They are very comfy!  The ones w/o a strap I will buy a size down and rub some lotion on my feet and get my foot in.  (then wash my hands right after so I can pole!) Those suckers wont go anywhere!

I gotta say youve got more balls than me.  Every time I have a beef with my MIL, I just roll my eyes and walk away.  I know im not going to win, and im ok with it.  My husband has backed me up once.  My MIL tried and bought me a pair of heels to dance in.  Totally not what I would of picked out and they had no platform and they were 4 inch heels.  Good club shoes, no go on the pole shoes.  My husband basically told her I wouldnt be able to dance in them for those reasons.  So he does pay attention. This is why I would rather get a gift card and get what I wanted in the first place, since I cant exchange the shoes b/c she bought them on ebay.  Sadly my IL's dont listen to me EVER!  Ok, my personal rant is over.

My pole is at my moms house.  Its in the laundry room and if the door to that room is open you can see it from the front door.  Actually her friends thinks it hers until she explains that its mine and shows them my YT stuff!  My moms awesome and very supportive about what I do.

It all comes down to its your house, your equipment, your hobby not hers.  Give her the invite to SHUT IT 2011!

Be Spun has Xpole poles.  I know on X poles website it says if your looking for serious height, contact them about pricing, reccomendations etc.

I believe the company is Markstar.

I actually bought the lotion in hopes it could be a great grip aid!  I worked well to slide into my shoes but not so good as a grip.  Maybe putting it on a few hours earlier before pole could help too!

When in doubt, Xpole is always willing to help you out.  Also the demo on You Tube is really helpful as well.

I understand where your coming from.  Im 250lbs and im always scared of playin on other poles I just dont know yet.  I was sold on the xpole when I went to the convention and played on the Xstages.  My thinking is if they could hold me, then the xpert would work.  Pole takes time,  I took me YEARS to get the basic invert and MONTHS to even climb!

I like a good mix between the two.  Like Charley said, I can get tired watching both of just that one thing.

I like to use tricks for emphasis, like the WOW factor to my routines.  Ive been dancing my whole life so just to dance freely comes very natural to me.  I never feel like I have enough tricks/spins/holds in my routines.

I love watching performers who are underground, ones who are about to go big.  But I do love me some pros as well.

    Alethea

    Jessalynn

KT Coates Swan Lake video was the first real pole video that I fell in love with.

    Karol

I really started to like Marlo after seeing her EMW video.
