Rib injuries are the most common in pole and can cause the whole side to hurt. Inverting can strain muscles too though especially from going up and then coming down uncontrolled like that. These injuries can take a while to heal as well. Just rest up and do not invert for a while. If you have a foam roller, I would do that to the back very gently and take lots of bubble baths. I hurt myself training Jallegra and I know that these injuries in that area take a while to feel better. Make sure you take care and keep us updated.

Now that I have hard wood floors, I have been wearing a pair I have. I am not the most graceful in them yet, but getting better. LOL! I want to try these!

I am the exact heighth as my husband when I have 6 in heels on and I feel like I would be amazon if I have 7 in heels, but there seem to be so many more fun styles!!!! I am going to try my first pair of 7 in heels very soon now because of this discussion!

Has anyone ever tried Karo heels? I am wondering if they hold up similar to Ellie or Pleaser. I have came across some that I want to buy. Are they padded and all that?

I know that a family member of hers is sick and she had to close the store down for now. Will it re open? I don’t know. If you have been charged and have contacted her twice, I would contact your card you used. But, I doubt you will be getting that order because I think she even closed her Ebay down.

I have two pairs and I would mainly use them for photo ops. The crystals bust if you heel clap and they fall out during floor work. They would be ok for pole work IF you never accidently hit the pole with one.

I hope I get to see you ladies!!! We need to wear name tags and a SV tank top or something to recognize eachother. I was all excited last year to meet people and only met a couple from here.

I really like the wrist bands with the Velcro without tact. It would be nice if there were ones that were just a bit longer.

I have both and both have torn to shreds when they were fairly new. Good idea but there is so much pressure on them , they just break and tear. I have had 2 pairs of gloves and two pairs of the ankle protectors.

  • Hello and welcome!! I myself am a Christian and have even danced to a couple religious songs. Do what makes you happy. I am typically a more sporty style dancer, but have recently been trying to get more graceful in heels. That is a skill in it’s self. You will see all styles here. I hope you like it and decide to stay.

I will try to get my hubby to take starting point pics tonight when he gets home from work. I will not lie. Mine could be worse, but I am trying to get my 3 block over splits back this year.

Also, I have been wearing Scentsy Layers body butter and I. Can pole done with it. I don’t use a lot when I will be poling and you can not pole right away with the body butter.

You can use for a regular moisturizer, if that is what you mean. I spray it all over my body like lotion. I would use a lighter one for every day. I also recommend a good sugar scrub for your body.

I always was sliding because I was dry as well. I didn’t understand why I was slipping because I had not used lotions or oils. This is a misconception that everyone needs to stay away from lotions. Dry skin will make you slide badly. When I figured that out, I tried and I have been set ever since and had no issues or no days when I just couldn’t practice because I was sliding. It is good stuff. I use the medium in Spring-Summer and the ultra in the Fall- Winter.

I am coming back now after 7 months!!!! I hate that the break happened, but it was due to a house too!! We moved and had lots of renovations going, so there was not even a floor in my pole room for months and there were contractors everywhere! I have just been trying to get my over splits back because everything is harder without them. I have been skyping a lot. That keeps me motivated.

One drop in lesson costs 25.00! 20.00 a month is not to high at all. At a studio, you pay 25.00 per lesson and get an hour. Here, you pay 100.00 and get a year and access to all the lessons you want. Just another thought there for ya.
