I can’t imagine someone who has a studio would ask someone to be a teacher unless they had absolute faith that they would be good at it because it’s their reputation and finances on the line so go you! Congratulations, Cat man! Listen, do not worry about your shortcomings as a poler or dancer. You have mad skills and MOST importantly, a sweet, humble nature and a thirst to learn which are the MOST important elements of a good teacher. You’ll do just fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Congrats Jungle Cat! I already love your dancing and videos but I can’t wait to see the vids once you start taking your classes. And from reading this forum I think that there is a need for either more studios to start catering to male dancers as well or a need for others to start opening up studios that do.

To be honest I can really understand the apprehension of having males in the studio with females. I’ll be frank, the majority of men are really perverts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif It’s funny but it’s true and sad. I can definitely see guys falling in love with all the dancers. I’m head over heels in love with all of you!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif But really all it takes is that one totally crazy guy and you have a potential horror story waiting to happen. So I do understand the need for seclusion in these kinds of matters. But what studios should do is at least offer a certain time for a male class or a weekly mixer. That way a female has the option of whether or not she wants to be in a class with a male at that particular time or just prefer to stay with all females and males can be accomodated as well. Or at least make special arrangements. Two studios I contacted just flat out said NO. Even when I emailed them some of my videos. But another studio gave the option of making special arrangements. They said I could work out with an instructor independent of the regular classes. Which is cool put I just didn’t want to have to pay more just because I was a male. But I was still willing to do it on occasion just for the experience. And I still will go to that studio sometimes too actually just to get different kinds of pole dance exposure from others. Everyone’s own unique style is very interesting to me. Lord I would kill to be in a class with all of you!! haha I don’t think I’m that great but I’m seriously going to downplay it at first. Basically I want to pick up proper technique at class then try it at home. I don’t want to discourage or intimidate anyone. Hey JC, I figured you’d post the news all over SV!!! I’m so happy you’re happy and I’ll try my hardest to get down there for that Sat. date to meet with you and Sissy. Like I said, you guys are invited over to my place anytime for a pole jam if you can get up to Northern Baltimore. I have 4 poles!!!
Anyway, I might want to get in on that carpool down to the East Coast Comp so let me know the deets. I’d love to cheer on Jessalyn in person.

Congratulations, JC! Finding a place to take lessons has been a real problem for me…there just isn’t that much pole to begin with here in Chicago…even harder to find if you are male. I more or less gave up trying to find a class. TO some extent Iam bothered more by the lack of a suitably tall enough pole to work with than I am by the lack of formal instruction. Right now, I’d settle for an extra room in the house with a 10 foot ceiling!
But, hey…your news sounds GREAT…Keep us all up to date!

Oh my gosh dude.
I took clases with her at xpose, but she recently quit there to start her own studio. We have been messaging back and forth on youtube and she invited to come to pole pressure in september! LOL, I told her I was scared of DC (because I am!) so she told me about her masters class in Bethesda. I’m by no means a master but she said it’s intermediate/advanced and I might be able to pass for a very low level intemrediate LOL.
If you’re going to pole pressure though, maybe I’ll go too. Did she tell you the first week is all free? I can only go on Saturdays though because of work and kids sports.
She is supernice and I have been stalking her for years!
Yes Sissy please come!!!!! No need to be scared of DC baby girl! hehe Where she has classes at is downtown. It’s the nice area! There is no if about it!! I’m definitely going to Pole Pressure!!! I have been breaking my neck to find classes that allow males haha Yeah the first week is free but the men aren’t allow to start in the studio until October. She wants the women to become comfortable in class first before the males start getting there but she said I can come use the studio anytime she’s in there and doesn’t have a class in session for September. Gosh she really is supernice. It’s like we have our very own lil Veena clone in DC haha So let me know what Saturday you want to plan to meet up and I’ll check my schedule at work to see if I’m off and we can play on the poles there before or after class!
