Don’t worry, we are all pretty much pole addicts too!!! When I’m at work, I think about pole. When I’m sleep, I think about pole. When I eat, I think about pole. When I use the bathroom, I think about pole! Oddly enough, when I pole, I think about if a train leaves Chicago at 10:10am, traveling at 75mph going east and another train leaves London, England at 2:05pm traveling at 45kph going west, how far will each train travel and at what time will the 2 trains meet? Welcome to the site!!! I’m the new male beginner. Aside from seduction and excitment, pole fitness also has excellent health benefits!! The results are extremely fast. I notice results everyday. I’ve only been poling for about a week. When I first started Monday I could barely pull myself up off the floor with 2 hands. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif Now after 5 days I can hang upside by my feet!!! Look ma, no hands!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif hehe I’m also alot more toned and my posture is much straighter. I’m becoming way more flexible. Close to box splits!! Each day in progression I’ve noticed my strength and endurance increasing, and you know what having more stamina means! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif All these health benefits transfer to other areas of my life. My appetite has significantly decreased and so have the number of hours that I feel I need sleep. I have more energy during the day and night and I feel less tired and sluggish than I did a week ago.
So far I haven’t gotten any bruising or pole burns. My pole did fall last night while I was spinning on it but I landed on my feet with the pole in my hands!! It helps to be part cat! hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif

LOL Veena you are too funny!!!! I think I only got about 3 lives left hehe I’ve had several close calls over the years. I’m gonna try my best to protect the hide I have left LOL That is excellent advice you gave me about the weather affecting the pole, the apartment shifting, and checking the X pole articles. I will certainly do that! Wow if a permanent pole can come down I guess any pole can come down!! I will start checking the pole daily! That was great advice. It’s wonderful to learn all these little lessons early on! I could have been trying something really dangerous! And right before I did it I was practicing inverted shoulder v’s!! EEEK!!! Uh oh!! I can’t get my base separated from the extension eitha. The super release tools don’t work because you can’t slip the pin thingy all the way through because the base blocks it in the middle. I"m just gonna leave it on for now but I’m sure it may present a problem if I try to take the pole somewhere and put it up if the places ceiling height is different from mine. If you ever get yours off let me know how you achieve it please!!

Hey precious! You know something. The stud finder said the ceiling joists is exactly where I marked it!!! That is odd. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif So I did pick the right spot. So now I really am kinda nervous. I will make sure everything is good and tight this time. Everything should have been good and tight last time. I even used the super release tools to tighten everything. My apartment isn’t really the most modern. Maybe the ceiling shifted? But it shouldn’t have if it was under the joists, right?. I’ve only had it a few days but I anticipated that I might have problems in the future so when I purchased my pole I also invested in the super release tools! They work great! Yesterday was the first sunny day I’ve had since I got my pole and I saw significant increase in my grip! I didn’t have to wip down my pole as much. I take it like pole’s have personalities too. Difference days it has difference characteristics and you gotta learn how to work with them all and adjust when necessary.

Actually Jacq, your videos is why I was asking! I thought it was fabulous!! You put the words in there and cut scenes and everything. That was awesome!!!! And I still can’t get enough of your victory dance when you did the one handed spin. It was so nice to see you so happy. I couldn’t help but to be happy with you!! It was great! I watched it about 5 or 6 times. I am so proud of you! Keep up the good work!! I don’t have a digital camera. I’m El Cheapo! But I’m going to get one and do the exact same thing you did. Hehehe I wanted to make you guys smile! But I always wanted to convey the seriousness I felt too. I do truly love you guys. I plan on doing a video this weekend. It will probably be pretty boring lol I haven’t really mastered any tricks yet. I’ve practiced some stuff but mostly I’ve been doing floorwork and stretching towards splits using the pole. It’s been rainy all week too. I’ve been waiting for a bright sunny day because my cam is kinda crappy and it’s hard to see me. It’s bright today so I will test it out. Another thing is all the music I have is on my computer and when I try to record vids and play music at the same time, the audio doesn’t came out right. *sigh* I don’t have a stereo so I will have to wait for a good song on the music channel on TV to get me grooving I guess lol All the CDs I have are old!

Well I’ve only been poling a few days but I like both!! I switch back and forth pretty frequently during my sessions. Spins kinda hurt my hands when the pole is on static. I have a Titanium X. I did notice that spinning is more challenging as far as grip so I think it’s helping me to build strength. I use static more when I’m stretching and practicing handstands and moves like ballerina but primarily my pole is on spin mode. I understand what Jenn said about the modes complimenting each other. It seems like the difference modes help to balance the body. I listen to what my body is telling me. If it feels like it needs to practice in static I go static. Hehe thank ya for the tips LA!! So far nothing really hurts! I think it helps that I have been doing daily yoga for about 2 years. I did the seat a couple of times last night!!! Wow pole dancing is really tough! I guess I need to start making videos of my bloopers too lol What is that software program you guys are using to do your videos with?

I have a titanium X and I don’t have any grip either! well I never had grip seein as to how this is only my second day poling hehe but I’m seeking an answer too! What is the weather like today where you are? It has been rainy and humid here the past few days. I’m thinking that might have something to do with it. Tomorrow it is gonna be sunny so I’m gonna see if that will make the grip better for me. I hope it does, otherwise I’ll just be basically sticking to floor work like I have been doing.
