OK, so they are predicting 30-40 % risk/chance of thunder showers tom. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif But I think we’ll risk it. We will set up 3 indoor poles and 4 outdoor poles. we can go in and out as the weather clears. When its raining, we can always do the burlesque workshop and pole performance indoors and as it clears out , we can raid the outdoor poles. Aradia Brampton has 2 bachlorette parties starting at 4 pm so I think with the mass confusion of where to go, we would run out of time. I have been so star struck and feel very lucky this summer. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif The pole stars have been coming here in Canada and I had the great opportunity to take all of Karol Holm’s https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif workshop where I perfected my knee hold into the holy drop and superman fall into spinning scorpio. I also took home a new move to work on = knee hold into the death defying tornado inverted spin. She is an amazing teacher. This month I also took 2 of Amber Richard’s https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif workshop and learned so much about extentions, fluidity and creating choreography. She taught us several new spin one of which is my new favorite , a spinning fan kick, which is superfast and looks awesome. She is also an awesome instructor. And next week , I’m off to Michelle Mynx’s workshop of gravity plays favorite advance class. I am super stoke. So, so far we have 5 stage poles for outside and 2 indoor poles. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I need 1 more indoor portable pole for the spare room where my stage is normally kept. If anyone has a portable pole they are willing to share with us,it would be greatly appreciated by everyone. Again, thanks to all of you who are bringing your stage poles. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif Please arrive at 1200 noon for set up of your pole. And don’t forget to park at the back gate next to the mailbox for easy access to the backyard.

I have been trying to nail the CAR to TG Aysha and the bottom hand placement has me stumped…the way I am doing it just does not feel secure. I have studied various videos..Stephanie, blondebird etc..and you turn TOWARDS your hand behind your bum right? But the bottom hand, what sort of grip?
JennRn, the bottom hand is thumb down towards the ground and you turn towards the bottom hand. Their is very little room to turn towards the top hand and more difficult turn. Turn the direction on your bottom hand and start turning as you drop our body and switching legs. -

how would you go from CAR to aysha or from the scorpio, has anyone seen a video for these because I really can’t visualise them? and what does the reverse look like?
I can do an a Spinderella https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif – Car into twisted grip Ayasha. I start half way up the pole into the Car -cross ankle release. I put my dominant Right hand behind me gripping the pole at my buttock area thumbs up. The secondary left hand grips overhead above my head, thumbs down. I let my body slide down the pole like I was going into a bow and arrow with both my ankles hooked on the pole, I slowly start to turn my body towards the left side of the pole,towards t, the direction of my lower hand for more room to turn. I switch my foot grip of my right ankle to the left of the pole and switch my left ankle to the right of the pole. Then lower my legs into the Ayasha split V leg position. I end up in a TG Ayasha. To come out, I just re grip the pole with my legs into a basic invert. Hope my explaination is clear. Blondebird has it at the beginning of her newest vid.

I just learned the reverse ayasha to scorpio hang dismount from Karol’s workshop this weekend. And I love this dismount. I’m still working on smoothing it out and adding more momentum to the spin but i got the basic principle. Can someone please break down the front handstand version for me. Thanks in advance.

Are there still other ladies coming from out-of-town? Elisabeth from LIVEONCE and Holly also from LIVEONCE are also coming for pole pro and head over heels but they are driving home right after that.
