  • I’ve heard that parts of pole began in India as a men’s game, mainly consisting of fast climbs. But really I think there are so many bits and pieces that came together.

If they are plastic/PVC you can blow dry the plastic with a hair dryer to make it a little more pliable when you put them on, I have wide feet and have a couple pairs that I’ve actually had for years that still need to be heated before I can get them on. You want them snug but not painful toes turning purple snug.

I’ve never really used silks but could you put dry hands on your body or baby powder to help with the sweat?

I have a naval hernia that I’ve had since my second pregnancy. I’ve honestly never had any problems with it. My son has one that doesn’t give him issues, and his dad had one that required surgery to return to work (although it never gave him issues)

I love being outside! I sucked it up and bought a stage pole for this reason. I typically take her to the park, because I’m still a little concerned with neighbors expressions. We hoop outside everyday!

  • When I first started inverting I had this problem. It gets better. I used to hang in a crucifix and just use my hands to spin myself to get used to being upside down and breathing. But we all come to that point where there is just to much blood and we have to stop.

  • Cross ankle release. I can squeeze and squeeze all day and it isn’t happening from the air. I can flip into one for the ground or bottom of the pole, and sit up bit no way am I laying back and it sticking.

I started with a 42″ outside diameter. When I started hooping I was newly pregnant. I since have moved to 36″ and a 34″outside diameter. I was finding transitions were difficult with such a large hoop. I am still definitely a beginner but obsessed none the less. I bought new hoops from an etsy shop.

Thanks to Lina’s advice my toes and feet are getting much prettier. Today while trying to pester my husband out of bed I said “look how pretty their getting”… He wasn’t amused. 😀 but he’s rarely amused at anything pole

The antenna is probably to flimsy, but we could very quickly replace it with a stage pole and they would never notice! Because those are probably some great views ;-D

Mills, no it didn’t, the sounds or background noise would come through, but the video would just be white.

Lately I haven’t been able to view them on my computer, but have no problems on my iPad.

Yes I call it polespotanitis. Currently nothing pole like is safe 🙂 I have climbed football posts to pole on them, street signs (round and those evil square with holes) whenever we are somewhere new my hands are drawn to check their stability… I was very disheartened when my husband wouldn’t allow me to pole on the carousel animals at knotts berry farm (because those brass babies were made for inverts!).

Pandora is a website/app you can pick a genre, artist or song and it finds and plays other music similar to it. It’s free with an occasional 30 second ad or 3.99 a month with no adds (ands it’s off of your email so you can use the same pandora account on multiple devices)

Any form of EDM. It makes me just want to move. I hit pandora and let the music guide me.

I love my flygym. But It doesn’t seem as versatile as some of the aerial yoga equipment that I’ve seen used in similar ways as silks. We have ours hanging indoors with two very large eye bolts that were purchased from a local but and bolt dealer.

We both still (oldest dd and I) drop our hoops a lot. So after reading your post I decided to hold off on the LED’s and get glow in the dark and uv hoops. Maybe by Christmas I will feel more comfortable batting my eye lashes at the husband for some LED’s 🙂
