Oops, I’ve just realised the ones I posted are the exact same style as the ones someone else already linked you to https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif I’m trying to think what you could search for to find them, but I’m clueless! Hmm…

    Thanks for the replies 🙂

After reading your replies I NEED to have a titanium gold pole!! I keep looking at the spot where I want my new pole up and I’m starting to imagine it as a TG one now. I have a real problem with grip because my hands get slippery very easily (even with liquid chalk) so it would be nice to have a pole where I don’t have to either wear gloves or slip off it every minute 😀 As I’m going to keep both poles up I think it would be good to have one that’s really grippy and one that isn’t.

The pole burn doesn’t sound too fun though! I bruise and scar very easily so that should be interesting!

    Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the reply chem 🙂

I just found an article about titanium poles saying how they are much easier to grip BUT that the titanium gold finish tends to wear off quickly and can become discoloured with use. Can anyone speak from experience?

I just saw that on the Australian X-Pole website they have titanium ones with a matt silver finish, which I would LOVE but I live in the UK 🙁

Thanks for the link chemgoddess 🙂 I’ll have a look now.

And thanks for the advice azriel. I suppose, like you said, it’s good to keep stretching anyway as it will help with my general flexibility. Well done on almost being there too! 😀 must be great knowing that all the hard work (and pain!) is paying off. I gave up stretching when I moved into this flat because my carpet’s like sandpaper, but as soon as I get some floor mats I’m going to start again, this time with perseverance. Well, I say that now… 😛

One thing to remember, is that consistency is more important than intensity!
Yeah, you’re right. I think this is important actually. I damaged a tendon in my foot last year just by walking so I’m kind of paranoid about over-stretching a tendon now when trying to stretch for the splits, but I think as long as I focus on being consistent with the stretches instead of trying to practically dislocate my legs to get there then I should make progress! Slow progress, but progress all the same 🙂
