I discovered pole in late February of 2014 after having recently moved to a new city to pursue work in medicine as a Physician Assistant. I had few friends or hobbies to keep myself busy outside of work, and turned to Google for help. I stumbled upon a pole studio nearby, and though I initially laughed at the idea, I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and sign up. In a moment of panic following registration, I turned to YouTube to see just what I had gotten myself into. I clicked on the first link that came up: Miss Pole Dance Victoria 2012-2013 - Kristy Sellars. And that's when I knew that I had just found my next passion.
