good job! i am not a beginner but you got a couple spins that took me a while..and i still cant do reverse grab so very good! i have sweaty hands too and if i wash them with dish soap before that seems to help. it is very drying though so you might want to use some heavy lotion after you’re done poling for the day. mighty grip helps but if you do any spins while you use it, it tears up your hands so i’d recommend doing it on spin mode if possible. keep up the awesome work ive been watching your vids and you’re progressing really well!

A lot of things will affect your grip…I notice if my pole is cold I can’t do a thing on it so I have to do a few climbs and things to get the pole to warm up. My hands get super sweaty and I am constantly using rubbing alcohol when I practice…in some of my longer vids you can see me wiping the pole and my hands halfway through. If you wash your hands with dish soap first that can help because its very drying. Grip also comes with time so it will get better. Just be careful if you buy and grip enhancers, if you try to do any spins with them it will be painful! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

It definitely helps to have some sort of tip jar, I notice when I belly dance I get a lot more tips when I have a very accessible tip jar. Also if you put a few of your own singles in there or even a $5 or $10 people tend to tip you much bigger and they dont even know it was your own! :-p

yay yay! arent you glad you have a place where you can be excited about new moves and other people share the excitment with you because they know what its like? whenever i get a new move i tell my boyfriend and hes like "ummm thats great honey but i have no idea what youre talking about! but great job anyway!" hehe. and yes i find if i am pushing myself to really get a move i have trouble with it…and if i forget about it or just try it when im goofing around and not expecting to get it, sometimes it will happen. congrats!

Okay as someone that has been through not one but TWO self-esteem crushing abusive relationships, I think you need to remember Wendy’s book and reread the parts about what a sex kitten you are! Any guy that has a girl squirming around on his lap doesn’t even care what you’re doing, you could probably be knitting a sweater and he’d still be drooling over the cute girl stripping out of the fireman costume! I’m sure it will help to have at least a loosely planned out routine so you can have something to follow if you do get nervous but honestly I think you’ll do just fine. Just remember you are the sexiest thing alive and he is LUCKY to have you giving him a lap dance! I know it’s hard to think that after coming out of a relationship with someone that was shitty to you but guys love confident women. I’ve been to strip clubs and the dancers making the most money weren’t the prettiest or the skinniest, they were the ones that walked around like they were the hottest thing ever and acted like guys were lucky to be able to pay them for a dance hehe. And also you can think about what your stupid asshole ex is missing out on, not like he would have appreciated it anyway :-p

I ‘ve found Pleaser is a very good brand that can take a bit of a beating..I have a pair of over the knee pleather boots of theirs that I love and they were less than $50 on Amazon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif And I’m always down for any excuse to buy new shoes lol

I agree with yogabeachbabe, definitely make sure your pole is warm. Also, some might consider this cheating but you can wear a pair of pleather/pvc boots to start off with so you can sit on the pole and just get a feel for what it’s like and then it might be easier to do it without them. I learned a lot of moves this way, then moved on to wearing "stripper" shoes, and now I can everything barefoot with just normal skin contact. Good luck!
