I am soooo excited for you!!!! And proud of you!!!! You really deserve this after everything you've been through with all the relocations/stress……let me know when it's up and running so I can teach my signature workshop: "How to eat cupcakes, pole dance, and ride a unicorn all at once"

I think it gives people trouble because a, you have a little bit of added weight, a b you are positioned a little bit differently in heels so you might have to adjust the way you get into an invert and it's harder to cheat it if you have heels on (not saying you're cheating but I have seen it happen before) I would suggest doing the monkey hang Amber has in one of her videos with the heels on so you can prep your body to get used to inverting, like the person before me said it most likely is you just need a little bit more conditioning to get it, but I have had this problem many times before and I don't consider myself to "master" a move unless I can do it in heels 🙂

I think I know what you're describing because Alethea showed us something exactly like it or very similar to it in her sexy flexy workshop…the way she instructed it if I remember correctly was to have your inside hand on the pole and then the outside hand comes onto the pole as your bring the outside leg around to snap yourself onto it, the inside hand stays on the pole the whole time, I haven't done this in a long time but I was going to do my first cast free pole practice today so I can try to do it and see if I remember how she showed us and make a video for you to see if it's the same thing you're describing?

I made a tutorial video yesterday but I might go back and do a photo tutorial instead because my camera isn't really high tech enough to pick up the detail of the lashes on my eyes so I might redo it, I'm gonna watch the video now and see if it looks usable or not!

Trena that is really good advice! I will do a tutorial on applying the strip lashes and also applying individual ones since a lot of women have never used them but they are actually easier to apply in my opinion. And I think I might try to also do a stage makeup/performance makeup tutorial as well while I'm at it since I'm pretty much immobile lol

Hiii! Yes fake lashes can be tricky but if you know how to do them right they're quick and get easier with practice! Unfortunately for me I broke my foot and am in a cast for five weeks…but fortunately for you girls I have plenty of time to make a fake eyelash application tutorial for you tomorrow 🙂

I am always trying to find healthy food on a budget and if you have Aldi chains near you, their fit and active line is AWESOME…..their yogurts are like .37 and really yummy, they make soy milk and other healthy things and I believe a few of their items are organic also…and now they have an Aldi version of my favorite Kashi cereal but for way cheaper, love love love!

My boyfriend was watching me stretch last night and mentioned something that people that do karate put around their legs to stretch, I wonder if this was what he was talking about? Let us know how it works!

I second what everyone else is saying about the squeezing, although my method is to get the pole in the right spot which for me is having the point of contact pretty much running from my knees all the way up almost to my lady business….and then squeeze my butt and thighs as hard as I can, it helps me to think of just trying to press my thighs together and imagining the pole isnt there…although I will say I have an unfair advantage for this move because of my juicy mexican thighs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

ottersocks I should have clarified my post a little better….i’m not worried about not being able to do it because i’m short, i just have a really short torso in comparison to the rest of my body and i feel like even though karol and jenyne are really small too, they’re more evenly proportioned than I am. I will try the armpit squeezing thing but I still can’t really lock myself into position with the side of my torso/hip so maybe that’s why I end up just hanging from my armpit and having searing pain, boooo https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Oh you poor thing I couldn’t imagine having to deal with that! I don’t much about it but I did used to know a girl who had the same problem and she actually saw a doctor who prescribed her a clinical strength anti persperant and she said it helped her a lot, maybe you could look into that? I have really sweaty hands when I pole and I am going to order some dry hands, I’ve used it before and it does work. good luck!

Umm can we get the name of that move officially changed to "fetus on a stick"? because that would make my life.

yeah i think i should probably give up at this point, which makes me sad because it does look impressive but i was thinking the same thing about the rocketman and i think ive accidentally done the chop sticks which still left bruises but not nearly as bad as the yogini bruises. thanks amy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi MommaBear! Thank you for the compliments, you are very sweet! Yes I would definitely recommend using an eyeshadow primer, and when you use the primer you should be able to forego the foundation and powder because that can sometimes actually make creasing worse. L’Oreal makes a great eyeshadow primer for around $7, it’s called L’Oreal de-crease, although I have noticed not all drugstores carry it but the places that have bigger makeup selections like Rite-Aid etc tend to have it. The gel eyeliner is closer to a liquid but easier to control than liquid IMO…if you want to play around with it I think L’Oreal just came out with a gel liner as part of their HIP line. The only drawback to a gel is that you need to buy a brush to apply it but I think brushes are a great investment and a necessary tool for a professional looking makeup application so I would say it’s worth it for sure. Hope some of this info helps!
