I agree with the above. I like the techniques she uses and think they are sound. It’s not necessarily anything new, but it is a nice, concise routine with the best elements of stretching. I did think the backbend section was a bit short and not enough if you have a flexy back. I did really like the splits section and that it can be done in 1 hr. Also, I think she’s producing another video to come out in Mar/April, just fyi. Hope that helps!

I like instacollage. I have picstitch too, which some people love, but I don’t! I like picplaypost (or something like that) to combine video and pics. Hope you find one you like 🙂

I love Instagram! There are lots of pole challenges and even more yoga challenges! I haven’t seen anything posted on SV for the #inversionsmakeyouhot. This is a yoga challenge I’m doing. @kinoyoga, @beachyogagirl and @laurasykora are hosting. The second two frequently host challenges, and all three are amazing! The pole challenges I know of are as follows: #FoxyFebPoleChallenge with @eroticexotic_, @1988kassandra and @tatianabez (daily challenge); #vvalFebet with @verticalvixensa (daily challenge); #boomkittenpole with @boomloulou, @polefly, @lithiumkitten (weekly challenge). Some inspirational yogis I follow who have hosted challenges in the past/present are: @yoga_in_nashville (current challenge is #bendbalancemove), @carsonclaycalhoun, @fitqueenirene (current challenge is #handstandlove). Hope that helps you start! The IG community is also pretty supportive 🙂

I took a group workshop with her earlier this year and LOVED it. It was mostly floor work/transitions and a couple spins. She definitely taught the pirouettes on the floor around the pole and the b-boy move in the middle pic. She is all about keeping the movement flowing and avoiding awkward breaks in directions. I would consider her “leaping” spin around the pole one of her signatures, but I have no idea what the name is. She does it in one of her USPDF routines 🙂 enjoy!

I don’t have back pain necessarily but have learned to be more aware of my pelvis/hips when bending forward to touch my toes or with a straddle position. For example, if I keep my back flat and pelvis more tipped anteriorly (butt pushing out), I feel the stretch in my hammies when leaning forward to touch my toes. If it’s the opposite position (posterior pelvic tilt…what I tend to do), I feel the stretch more in my lower back than my legs. Hope that makes sense and helps! Good luck!

I agree with pokeyd. It’s much easier for me to go straight to the remi bridge (and less painful). I think I might tip the hip of the knee pit up toward the ceiling slightly to take the pressure off the foot. Best of luck! 🙂

I am going! Just booked my flight and hotel. Any thoughts on whether the limited access or all access pass is better? I've never been, so I'd appreciate any advice. Looking forward to meeting people 🙂

My one and only pair of pole shoes are Kotonica's (Jacky-2). I wear a 6.5 and went up to a 7, and it fits fine. They were more comfortable to me than any other shoe in just trying them on.  Love them! Here's a link to their website: http://www.kotonica.com/collection.asp  I should probably remedy my one pair situation with another pair https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
