Ooh I’m in, too! Love that wall dancing!

Sending condolences to you on your dad’s passing, Mystical. Healing wishes for your heart â¤ï¸
The pole is always there for us! Have a great time getting back on it.

I purchased my first Xpole from the Xpole website a few weeks ago! Shipping was not free but it was fast. Waiting for an extension to fit my 10′ ceiling.

Ambience, I wish you lived near me in Baltimore! My organization puts together a yearly vegan education and mentorship program, free and open to all, and it starts in 3 weeks! (VeganLivingProgram.org) We always get Coach volunteers who can’t attend the sessions but want to be “buddies” with someone remotely. If you’re interested, message me!

Hi Neasha! I’ve been without a weight-supporting pole for a few months now (hoping that changes soon!) and am addicted to Veena’s Shoulder and Abs Routine. If you have a resistance band, you can tie it to something else, and there are just a couple things I do against a wall instead. It’s a great routine.

Thanks, Lina Spiralyne! I visited a psychic shortly after starting Veena’s back flexibility routine…and the psychic told me that the stretching I was doing was great for my kundalini!

Long ago and far away in a different thread, Veena suggested moisturizing the night before pole rather than the day of…My dry skin problem is legs, not hands, but this has been my religion since then…along with avoiding the really oily lotions like chemgoddess said. Gives my skin that perfect degree of “tacky” (once I’m warmed up) without being greasy.

Alexis C, thank you so much for starting this discussion! I’m looking for the pole shorts equivalent of Apple Bottom Jeans…that allow extra space for Ms. Booty without getting bigger in the waist or otherwise (so just buying the next size up generally won’t do). Any suggestions from the similarly well-endowed?

Make progress on flexy. (Lots of progress!) Get superman, and get stronger in moves I have. Save up for some pole clothes to feel great in – something sparkly perhaps! Oh, and start videotaping (more a tech challenge than anything else @ this point)!

Here’s my fave song for warm-up/freestyle right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47C9K9IEjMg Hidden Xs by Fuck Buttons. I love it and am having so much FUN with it…Remembered this thread and wanted to share!

The last time I spent the night there it was at NY Moore Hostel, 179 Moore Street, New York, NY 11206. It was $40/night for a cot (in a dorm with 8 cots/shared bathroom) which is cheap by NYC standards! I got there when most folks were in bed and left early the next morning. Kids were in the courtyard talking in British accents and I felt like I was spending the night at Hogwarts.

Yes…monkeys! And Silver Sylph I know what you mean about "sizing things up!" My neighborhood is full of gay bars…There's a club on my block and I'm always looking at these shiny gold poles that hold up the awning…ignoring the fabulously dressed people waiting to get in! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Warm hugz to you, and prayers for your dear Toby!

I work at a dog day care and boarding facility…professional pooper-scooper!!! It's my favorite job yet, and the dogs are the greatest https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif I also work as a personal assistant to a couple of artists with their ongoing projects. And my pretty much full-time volunteer job is as a director with a local animal advocacy group; we put together vegan cooking demonstrations and other educational events.

Thanks for the suggestions 🙂 I'll try them out and see how it goes!!

Do you think toothpaste (or alcohol wipe down) might help if the grip problem isn't sweating, but cold pole/skin? Any ideas? My apartment gets really cold in early autumn before the heat's turned on, and I can't do the sitting/climbing/crucifix I could do last week (before it got cold!). Today I did SV's basic warm up and then the pole strength routine, and I could do them for a little bit (yay!), but then my pole and skin cooled off pretty quickly and I started sliding down again…At least, I hope that's what's up, and I didn't just lose my strength all of a sudden!!! Can't wait for our heat to turn on – I need to climb lol!

Haha same here! So happy to have joined SV and finally started really learning…And come to think of it I day-dream about poling all the time when I'm supposed to be doing other things 😉

I DAY-dream about poling when I'm trying to fall asleep so I can get up for work…cuz I'd rather be poling than going to bed!
