Going to use these as a guide for setting up my own daily workouts because now that I’m in the habit I want to keep it up. Just need to find the right balance of cardio, conditioning, pole work and flexibility.

Bow pose looks like it was challenging for most of us! Veena, yours is so beautiful, you make it look easy.

I just did my first twisted grip hangman air walk today and I am giving credit to Veena’s conditioning exercises for shoulders and core. Big successes make for great motivation to continue!

Great job everyone. I’m probably going to actually do this 2-3 days at a time instead of every day. Hubby is going to get tired of me bugging him to take pics if I’m after him every day. Lol. I’ll never make it to the end. 🙂

I am in the process of making my own set of pole move cards with photos and descriptions. I am using all my own pictures so far.

MemberOctober 3, 2014 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Anyone up for doing Veena’s 30 day programme?Day 19 done! I replaced the pole sit today with the new side sit lesson…I forgot how much elbow grips hurt. But I managed it on both sides! I didn’t try it up in the air or with the twisty exit yet, I’ll save that one for another day. I also added some twisty grip hangmans and some up and over stretches to untwist my shoulders. I was actually able to hold a hangman today with Cramers grip on my hands! I’m loving this program Veena. It’s giving me the edge I needed to push past the intermediate level into some more advanced moves.

I see this all the time and I always think to myself, “I should try that.” But for some reason I never remember it when I’m poling. Tomorrow I’m adding it to my 30 day take off workout. 🙂

What the heck, if I’m opening my big mouth to give advice I’d better jump in on this. Lol. Tomorrow I will do 1-3.

I agree that this shows very advanced poses but remember that all poses have starting points and that wherever you are and whatever your pose looks like; it is perfect for you. Make the pose fit your body, don’t try to make your body fit into the pose.

When I really want to stick I use a combo of Dirty Girl Poletice with Cramers grip spray on top. I am super sweaty and it does a pretty good job.

I’m doing Veena’s 30 Day takeoff right now. It is helping me learn how to plan more effective daily workouts that include warming up, conditioning, pole work and stretching and that it doesn’t have to take up 2 hours of my day or leave me sore for days after. Highly recommended for polers of all levels!

I have both Pure Splits and Stretching for Pole. Both are great flexy DVDs and a great supplement to Veena’s stretching routines. Are they “better”? That’s debatable, but I did see improvement when I was using them regularly. There are some beginner variations shown but if you’re totally inflexible you may find yourself frustrated.
I personally prefer Veena routines but since there are different stretches in AA’s DVDs it is good for variety. -

I’ve had a headache since last night and I have to work afternoon shift later today. I think I’m just going to take it easy and hit it tomorrow when I am hopefully feeling better. Good luck everyone on whatever day you are on.

MemberSeptember 27, 2014 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Anyone up for doing Veena’s 30 day programme?Did day 14 today. I’m feeling so great, didn’t even feel like I needed a rest day.
I used to honestly believe that there was no way I could workout everyday. But this program has helped me see that I CAN make the time to do something. It took 18 days to do 14 workouts but I think that’s reasonable. After the 30 days are done I hope to continue on making time for a daily workout. Even if it’s just 30 min. In less than 3 weeks I am feeling noticeably stronger and feeling less sore than I used to after working out.
Thank you Veena!
