Love the star stand alone 4.0, but I can’t seem to get the pole out of the stage. What is the trick? Does it unscrew? pull out? doesn’t seem to want to budge. Help please!!!

I just got my star standalone stage and pole and I love it. I added LED lights and it looks spectacular (see pic). But what is the key to inserting and removing the pole? It doesn’t seem to screw in, and yet, when it slips into place, I’m not sure how to get it out. Unscrew? Pull? And how to I place the screw to stop the pole from spinning? Any help would be appreciated!
