Gotcha! You can also come to a regularly scheduled class for a trial rate of $30/ class if that works better for you both!

Hi MissPriss,
Awakenings Pole Dance Fitness actually has two studio locations: one in Manayunk (which does have a parking lot that only costs $2.50 or street parking is also available) and also King of Prussia (which has a designated free parking lot). Both studios are convenient and the Manayunk studio boasts 12ft poles. I happen to own Awakenings so let me know if I can be of any help to you in planning your Philly stop! I love to meet fellow Veeners!

I watched the video, and I think she was just starting to laugh again. It sounded like she was doing a rasberry thing with her mouth as she started to laugh. I don’t think she would have given permission to post that video if she really ripped one…just sayin’. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

This is the most entertaining thread I have read so far. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I also thought that I may be one of a few women who experience these embarrasing events while poling. I have actually had a conversation about it with my male OB/GYN
(that was awkward) because I was starting to avoid certain activities like Yoga because I found that certain yoga inverts were almost guaranteed to cause the dreaded "queef" and they aren’t playing any music in Yoga like we do in pole classes to "cover up" my sound effects. My doctor suggested Kegels, and if that doesn’t help, inserting a tampon before these activities. I have not tried the tampon trick, but it makes sense. No more vacuum when you invert…jeez what a strange thing to say! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif -
It seems that everyone has agreed that you don’t want to miss an Amber Richard workshop if you can make it to one. Hi,
OOPS, I meant $120 for the whole set with shipping not $150. I typed in the wrong and crucial number….does that make more sense?
-
Hi,
I have the 5 series set plus the routines DVD’s that I can sell you. They are all brand new, never opened and in the NTSC (US standard format) format. I can sell the whoe 6 DVD set for $150 including shipping. I could mail them immedately once I receive payment. You can use paypal or send a check. These DVDs are excellent and this set was hand delivered to me by Jamilla herself when she came to my studio to teach workshops in Philly!!!

MemberNovember 7, 2009 at 2:46 pm in reply to: Practicing spin mode – getting really sick /:I used to get really queasy working on the spinny mode as well! What I have found that helps me is wearing Sea-Bands. They are wrist bands that use acupressure to alleviate motion sickness and nausea. You can find them at most drug stores along with the motion sickness meds or behind the counter. I actually wore them for morning sickness during both of my pregnancies. Between the bands and just pacing my workouts and alternating between spinning and non-spinning modes, I really haven’t had a problem. Hope this helps!!!
