CapFeb….the dome is NOT supposed to be in teh floor as is shown in the pic Sensual posted.
That does not look safe or good for the dome. I remember you could do this with the PS poles but you still had the dome on top. When mounted this way where the most outward force would be only has a small piece up against the ceiling…. NOT safe.

The only thing that would work for my powder coated LM was a fan during the summer or using it early morning/late evening when it was not as hot and humid.
I assume you are talking your body sticking, yes? For hands it is a matter of playing with your grip.

Chair mat or a [iece on panelling from Home Depot or Lowes or the like. I had something like this in my garage:

Your hairdresser has no idea what she is talking about. If this is the first time your hair has been lightened and has not been chemically treated in any other way then there is no way this is damaging enough. Your best bet would probably be to have a mix of high lights and low lights put into your hair. Or speak to another hairdresser that specializes in coloring.

I have found that many instructors who go at this pace do so because they do not know how to properly train people in pole. Also to teach carousel in a second class….I won't even go there. Sounds like this person is trying to ride the bandwagon. Know what you can and cannot do and know the dangers of the moves she is teaching.

Arnica!! I buy stuff from Swanson Vitamins that has 10% arnica in it (and it is cheaper than buying in the store). I crashed and burned pretty bad 2 weeks ago doing parkour, got home and started with the arnica and never bruised. By crash and burn I mean that we were hurdling balance beams and I did not get my legs up high enough and hit both shins on the edge of the beam and came down face first. I took off enough skin and my shins were tender to even wearing jeans, but I never bruised!
This is what I get: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/NWF460/ItemDetail
I know that Aerial Amy loves Traumeel but it is about twice the cost. You can also take arnica pills that will help, too.

Mary Ellyn was doing something with the hot fix crystals a while back but I cannot remember where she had posted it.

There are a couple of things.
Heat Set rhinestones have a heat set glue on the back of them. They require a special heat gun and take a bit longer to bedazzle but is less messy than glue.
My favorite glue is called Quick Grip.
I found it when making repairs to an old pop up we had. This stuff LASTS and does what it says but it it can be very messy. I used this stuff when I made my disco ball bra and pretty much every costume I have made for Halloween for the last few years.

I am not sure how well brass plating will adhere to the steel that is under the chrome. I am shocked that they would strip the chrome and plate for you for under $100. I would not even consider plating over the chrome.

A little background: Latisse is actually Lumigan, which is a glaucoma medication. It was found that the eyelashes of people using it were significantly longer and fuller after a short period of use. The discoloration of the iris actually is a side effect of using it as a glaucoma medication, where you are dispensing drops directly into your eye, and it can change your eye color to brown permanently. Latisse was born out of the side effect finding and it is applied very lightly to the lash line so the chances of iris discoloration is slim.
My cryptic message was regarding generic bimatoprost which is significantly cheaper (like $30 a bottle and lower) than the latisse name, and many of our neighbors to the north and possibly in europe may be able to get this direct without a prescription.

For those that are interested in Latisse, google careprost.

You should have velcro strips that you attach to the frame and the pie pieces to keep them from popping up.

Yes, what webby said. I have not heard of any issues with the xjoint slipping on the new design.
This is also another reason it is so important to contact the manufacturer. If you never call them they will never know there is a wide spread problem and they will not ever fix it. this is true for ANYTHING that you purchase of high $$.
-
Take pictures and send them to PS. DO NOT make adjustments as that will void any warranty that you have on the pole.
-
I want to say 2010ish. The new style has the XJoint, the old style screwed together and also the new style is bottom loading where the old was top loading.

I don't know about discoloring latex but it will get destroyed by the pole…think about all of our poor shoes!

RPoles are ridiculously expensive for those of us that live in the US.
Again, any time anyone has an issue with a pole they need to contact the manufacturer. If the spin mode is stuck there are 2 possible issues I can think of that it could be and both are fairly easy fixes. Without contacting the manufacturer how can they help you and why anyone would not fix something that is obviously inoperable is beyond my comprehension.

I noticed that too

There is also The Choreography House in North Hollywood as well as Aeriform Arts.

Be Spun. They have resumed classes at a new location.

That was my first thought, too but she has performed at events like this in the past while working for Cirque, unless they renegotiated her contract when she signed up for this performance. She may have also been under other comp contracts that superceeded her Cirque contract in the past, though, too (Miss Australia, Worlds, etc). I really don't know. Depending on when she signed the contract for Pole Con she may still have been in recovery.
The reason I say this is because Jenyne works for Cirque as does the one girl who is on So You Think You Can Dance and they are performing elsewhere.
