No headstand should ever put weight on your neck. Aerial Amy has some good lessons for doing elbow stands. If you notice in both hers and Veena's you should be able to move your head around. Practice them against a wall first. It requires a lot more core stability than you might think.

There is a video that tells you how to get slipped jionts out. Basically you need to have a long handle and bang the joint out.

This should not happen on the new style x joints. When you re-install it make sure that you tighten it as directed in the instructions.

Thanks to Aerial Amy for this: http://aerialamy.com/blog/grip-aids/

You have unfound fears. I taught on XStages for about a year and had women over 6 foot and over 200 lbs on them with no issue.
Are you talking about the pole itself wobbling or the stage? There are feet on the legs that you can adjust plus if you pull them out you can gain better stability when you are doing power moves.

It depends on why you are going into pole. If you plan on competing then make the investment now for a dual pole. I am not a fan of spin mode…it still makes me want to hurl. While I will play now and again on it for the most part I have used static only for 5 years and I am happy.

I shop all over for my shoes always looking for sales. I have a friend who has an account with Pleaser and I can get her cost if there is a pair I cannot find. I have also gotten some steals on ebay. The last pair I bought at a local boutique and they were on clearance for $35. But then again, I am a bargain hunter.

You can also try fence net, jumbo net or spaghetti leg wrap as searches.

It looks like she may have just wraped her legs in bondage tape.

Many ladies here have gel nails and don't have issues. I have seen studios that state that long finger nails are not allowed, but if you are keeping them short I don't see how pole would ruin them and vice versa.

MemberFebruary 6, 2013 at 7:46 am in reply to: X-Pole Presents: Michigan Dance & Air Festival 3/22-24 2013OK. I have booked the Residence Inn in Warren for Thursday-Sunday nights. There is a Hawthorne Suites, Courtyard and Extended Stay all right next to each other and a La Quinta around teh corner. I am staying away from the Holiday Inn for other reasons. I figure if we are all close it makes hotel partying easier!!
The queen suites sleep 4 and run $79-89, the 2 bedroom suites sleep 6 and run $174.

Grip aids (I pretty much have them all), extra booty shorts and tank, foot undeez, leg warmers, brush, hair ties, microfiber rag, alcohol, notepad and pen, sharpies and sometimes shoes and a set of speakers for my ipod.

Boy shorts are my go to. I look at them every single place I go, from Rue 21, Charlotte Ruse, Walmart, Target etc. My favorite sports bras are the Danskin ones from Walmart. Lululemon is talked about a lot here and there is a knock off brand of them that is sold at Marshalls and TJ Maxx (kyodan).

As has been said, Platinum Stages, XPole and Lil Mynx are the top safe poles. Each one has their pros and cons so it is better to figure out:
material
height
diameter
And then your choice will essentially be made for you.
