I know that the S Factor studios all had Lil Mynx poles to start out (not sure if they still do).  It may be worth a call to them to see if they had any issues in their studios.

  • My thoughts on the women being objectified?  I don't have any issues with it.  We are gorgeous creatures and should be able to show that without being called sluts or tramps.  I have more of an issue with Victorias Secrets models who look anorexic and barely legal than I do with strong sexy women showing their glory.  But I do not want to sidetrack this thread.  Maybe you should start a new post?

Voodoo!!!  I am in Cleveland.  What part of town are you going to be in??  There are a few studios in town, it just depends on what specifically you are looking for.  I am going to send you my phone number in a PM.  If nothing else we can get to one of them just to play (I know the owners of all of them and have keys to 2 of them!)

Does yours not have the little rubber feet on the bottom?  I had mine up in my garage with just those feet and had no problem (although mine was not a rotator)

I personally feel better when I use it but that is me.  The next day though I am right back to being in pain.

In the mean time spend a few $$ on a tennis ball.  You would not believe the relief you can get using a properly placed tennis ball and your wall.

Welcome to pole dancing!!  Shoulder injuries are probably the #1 or #2 injury we deal with.  XRays will do nothing.  Your money is better spent going to see someone whole specializes in sports massage.  I bought a year's worth of massages and go about every 6 weeks to get my shoulder worked on.  I get horrible knots usually right under the shoulder blade that cause all sorts of issues.  When I start to have trouble falling asleep I know it is time for another massage.

  • That is Lucy Cork.  She was the 2010 winner of Miss Pole Dance UK.

There is another video that is newly out with  Mina Mortezaie, Faith Daniels and Jennifer Kim

Hexavalent Chromium DOES NOT equal chrome.  Hexavalent chromium is a state of chromium that signifies that is is in the +6 oxidation state.  It does not exist by itself but as a salt, which makes it water soluble and able to be used in electroplating.  The METAL that is electroplated onto your pole is CHROMIUM, it has no oxidation state.

As for the lead, pretty much all steel contains lead.  Simple fact.  Since XPole is based in California and California has its own set of laws it abides by they HAVE to list lead on any product that contains it.  Lead has an extremely low skin absorption rate and the major risk is from organic forms of it.

As a side note, have any of you ever seen sodium metal?  In the metallic state  (which does not naturally exist) is is violently reactive with water (pretty much explodes), tey how much sodium do we eat and it is not harmful to us (with the exception of bloating and high blood pressure).

While no pole is perfect I can also say that I have had PS poles break and come down during use.

The bad thing about my memory…I can remember mobile phase preparations for HPLC assaies that I have not run in 15 years but I have the worst time remembering people's names when I first meet them.
