Why don't you order direct from XPole?

Instead of fingers down on the bottom hand, try fingers up and just using that hand to push the pole away from you. I assume you are speaking of standard split grip and not inverted, correct?

Oh, and X Pole is supposed to have brass poles comping soon, too!

The X Stage does come in 45 also, not just the 50!!

Midwest is having one in August. I know there are a bunch with a big portion of them posted here under events.

I have seen them but they are EXTREMELY expensive!! For CD you will be looking at 1196 at today's exchange rate for the one with a mat (which you want), and that is without shipping.
The one thing about these is that they do not have a stage and you pretty much have to use mat. I don't know if you ahve ever tried dancing on a mat but it is not easy. Without the mat you have the spines of the base that you will trip over or possibly come down on.

And thank you everyone so far. Christen is a fitness studio first but fell in love with pole a little bit ago. She has always had the motto "Obesity Costs, Fitness Shouldn't". Along with free fitness for military, law and fire she also offers what she calls the Love Program which is a subsidized fitness program for those that cannot afford the monthly membership. This grant also helps to support that program.

Also, there is an app called pocket pole that has a bunch of moves and videos of the moves. There are free versions and also paid versions that work on both iphones and androids. PFA also has flashcards available.

Tee hee! I got the swimsuit catalog this year and there was a picture of one of the model with her hands over her head and she had no muscle tone what so ever. It was kind of sick. If you notice they always cut them off right at their thighs in the majority of the pictures.
This grosses me out:

I think my arms are bigger than her thighs.

I had mine up for about 2 years in my garage and a year in the house. In the original directions that I have for my pole it states to finish tightening the pole while it is up until it does not spin any longer. This makes it REALLY difficult to get the pole down because as you are trying to unscrew it the mount also wants to unscrew and it creates a big mess and also damages your ceilingl.

Lil Mynx also has downloadable directions on how to do this on their website.

It has nothing to do with rest days and everything to do with genetics.
How do you define "bulky"? The only women I have ever seen that get "bulky" is usually body builders, the rest of us I think imagine things that are not there.

I would think that you would have more issues from stainless than from chrome. Chrome is plated onto the surface of the metal thus sealing it. I have been looking around my chemistry sites and have not seen any manufacturer list nickel as one of the impurities in chromic acid.
