I would work at a club before doing this, but that is me. I know someone who does work for a site…well, she and her husband. He photographs her and people pay to see the pictures. She will have people send her items to have photos taken with. I know a few years back they were making $2000+ a month but I am not sure if it is still the same today. I will also add that he has tricks to making the photos/her look good and she has had a ton of plastic surgery. I wish I could remember the name of the site…..

This makes more sense but to me is only part of what I consider a "superman"; this is just a way to condition yourself on the hold but not a typical "entry". There is a video on YT by Boomloulou that has a bunch of entries into superman. The following thread has a lot of sugegstions along with a link to said video:

MemberNovember 28, 2011 at 5:44 pm in reply to: what is a good transition from shoulder mountA couple things with SM…I personally would work on holding a shoulder mount V as long as possible…..get used to hanging out in that position. I would also try working on getting into a shoulder mount from the floor or working on a reverse shoulder mount, controlling that puppy all the way down. When I SM I will usually use that as a different way of getting into a caterpillar climb. Google Aerial Amy and look at her shoulder mount blog.

MemberNovember 23, 2011 at 2:43 pm in reply to: HELP ANYONE! I can’t climb cause it hurts & I keep slipping!Pole climbs and sits are the first thing that I teach my students as their first "painful" move. If you look back through all of the threads you will find numerous threads complaining about the pain involved in sitting. It DOES subside, as does the pain in your feet.

and obviously the inability to spell, just like you V!

I just realized that my post sounded kind of negative and a little biotchy.
Ther are a lot of threads here about competitions, preparation for them , people being upset about not getting chosen, after the fact of the comp…all sorts of really good information. There is sooooo much more to every comp than just being able to do tricks. Most require a certain amount of floor work, a certain number of aerial moves, how long you have to hold moves, etc etc etc.
Here is a good example of requirements: http://www.midwestpoledancing.com/ValuationPrizes.htm

Just because you can "do" a move does not mean you can work it into a routine. Most competitions are looking for you being able to string floorwork and aerial work together and do it in a way that is unique. If you read any of the blogs that competitiors have written it is not about how many tricks you can do. I have "gotten" moves but it will usually be 6 months to a year before I can work that move into a freestyle dance. You have to be able to do it almost without thinking about it.
How are you crushing your butt bone on a superman? I cannot even grasp how that is possible.
I really like ping on itunes and also 8track.com for new music. I try to search out the S Factor girls on ping because they always have great music that their students are bringing in. Veruca Blue also has some great music on her blog: http://fearofflight.wordpress.com/

I have only been to the Houston studio once but was very active on the forum when it was one of the only forums around. Being what we called an "at home girl" was definitely more challenging than being able to go to a studio and unleash your vixen once a week. Even now I find the only time "she" comes out to play really is when we go to a club that has a pole. Something about the darkened room, loud music and being watched unleashes her.

Do you have the original series?
Best advice I can give is to turn the lights down low, crank the music up and just move. Get in touch with every part of your body….concentrate on how your hair feels, on how your clothes feel, on the way your muscles feel. It is all about slowing it down and luxuriating in the moment. When you slow things dow it makes everything a million times harder. You really have to tell your body to engage instead of relying on momentum to get you from point a to point b.
A big part of S is also accepting your body which is probably one of the hardest things for women to do. Once you hang up all of the negativity you have about your body and just move in a way that feels good you would be amazed at how sensual you can move.

I learned about Indeed about a year ago. It will pull postings from all the major job sites and also local companies. It is kind of like Kayak but for jobs.
And a quick note on Craigslist, it really depends on your area. There are quite a few legitimate postings here in Ohio for jobs and I have even been on an interview with one.
