One thing that really helped strengthen this move for me was how Pantera taught us.  When you are in an inverted crucifix place your hands between your boobs and push out away from the pole in a plank position.  From tehre use your hamstrings and legs to lift your but NOT your arms to push you up.  This makes this move a million times harder BUT does not fatigue your arms for when you need them.  Use the larger muscles, not the weaker.

Also, this is one move that a LOT of people have fallen out of when learning it.  USE A MAT.

I think Aerial Amy had a tutorial on this at some point in time, also.

    Yep…I was right: http://aerialamy.com/blog/2011/12/13/tuesday-tips-caterpillar/

One I like is Charley's flying fireman to cross knee release.  She has a video on yt but I cannot access it at work.  If you get it right you will spin the release.  I will do this from a fan kick also.

I have always loved reverse grab to pretzel the way that Sarah Cretul does it.

And a beginner that can look beautiful is a step aroud to back hook.  Usually I will do a front step around to back step around (see Karol) to front step around to back hook.

    Welcome!!!

As you progress you will appreciate being able to do moves on both sides.  I know so many people who simply can't and I for one am better on one side than the other and it is not the same for all moves.  It also helps keep you evened out and not overworking one side, which can lead to injuries.

Karol did I believe.  Look up Redke71 (I think) on youtube.

I had learned that cartwheel was head forward, handspring was head back, however handspring has become synonymous with either way of mounting over the years.

The people I know who own studios will probably tell you they work 24/7!!

I know that does not help but in reality it is true.

Practice the pull up from the ground!  Basically lie down with the pole at your waist, lift your hips and hook the outside leg.  From there pull yourself into an upright position.  This can be done also as a spin up from the ground.

The TG pole is a titanium pole that has been anodized (electricity passed through it) to give it a gold color.  I know this was an issue with some of the earlier poles but I have not heard of it much in the last 2 years.  I wish they would just come out with a straight titanium pole, forget the coloring.  The titanium is what gives it the grip, not the coloring.  Veena has a TG and I do not believe that she has had any issues with hers.

There is a discussion on the forum regarding different tanning products.  I did not realize that she carried a tan.

Death grip is gripping the pole so hard that it kills your spins.  It is common until you get used to the fact that you will not fly off the pole.  It also takes some time to figure out how much you do indeed have to grip the pole.

On spins I pretty much grip the pole with the flushy part of my thumb, pinky and ring finger.

No, that was Steele Starling.  He is one of the Mynx boys.  And I believe that is Steven's real name.

Although I have seen David do a jade split/switch in pants, but then again, he is a freak of nature.  (this is said with love as David is an effing beautiful person in and out)

I beg to differ on the men getting down to their tighty whiteys.  Any man who poles on a METAL pole does, any PERSON who performs on a neoprene pole (ie Chinese pole) does not.

Look up Josiah BadAzz, David Owen, Ricky Phoenix, Philip Deal, Steven Retchless, and any number of the guys on this site.

And then look up Rebecca Star on her new pole.  It is a Chinese pole and she poles in a body suit.  Her performances on a metal pole are skin bearing.

Do a little research before making accusations.
