Just found out about this site.  They have some really really really cool latex wearable art (necklaces, masks, pasties).

5 Butterflys….the threads are not made of brass.  There was discussion about the bottom piece that slides over the adjuster and dome looking like they were another material, which they are (titanium gold).  There are very very very fine threads on the cover piece that keep it in place that would not be good if that piece was made of brass.

I have used the color fix from Sally on numerous occasions on permed and fried hair and did not further damage.  I always followed up with a protein or keratin treatment before dying again though.  You do not say what color your natural hair is.

I can see something like a knee hold being difficult but for me I use more of the side of my leg for outside and inside leg hangs.  You may have more issues getting off the pole!

How long have you been doing them?  Any new move is typically pain inducing.  Also, are you changing your angle at all, as in trying to be more away fromn the pole or bringing your legs down more.  All slight variations can put different pressure on the joint.

Just wondering if anyone has tried using the Mr Clean Magic Erasers on their brass poles?  Can't see it being any more abrasive than brasso.

Hmmmm…just found out that the Aussie version and the US version of Brasso are significantly different!

The label of Australian Brasso lists "Liquid Hydrocarbons 630g/L; Ammonia 5g/L", whereas the Material Safety Data Sheet for Brasso in North America lists: isopropyl alcohol 3-5%, ammonia 5-10%, silica powder 15-20% and oxalic acid 0-3% as the ingredients.

I am just adding a bit of brass knowledge.  Brass is a very soft metal that easily dings and misaligns.  The cover has very fine threads when it screws on and with brass those can easily get stripped due to its "softness". (the softness is the reason it has grip).  The same holds true with the dome.  I have heard of people dimpling their dome tops from overtightening or it not being level.  I am not sure if brass would give the same amount of tension needed before collapsing.  Part of the beauty of the XPoles is their engineering design.  They did not cheapen the poles but not having these parts made of brass, they wanted to be sure that the safety was still intact and also make sure that no damage was done to the threads.  (I have stripped brass threads…it is VERY easy to do).

You have the 38 poles there too, don't you?  This may be one of the reasons….there just is more surface area (read "ouchie effect") on a 50mm pole.

There have been a few threads here (I know I started one that I cannot find) that might offer up more help.  Here is one that is kind of older.  You should not roll across your lady parts.

Ok….pole results today are only showing 9 votes for Charley when I know last night it was close to 300.  Not really sure what is going on here.

I believe that there are competitors that are "in" and then there are competitors that will get in by popular vote.

I also noticed something last night….if you navigate away from the page and then come back you can vote again.  I know it is cheating the system but I have a hard time believing that some of the contestants went from almost no votes to over 1000 in an 8 hour time frame.  This is one of the reasons I dislike stuff like this.

If you are inverting properly you most certainly can come back out the same way.  Sliding down will take a little time to perfect (think death grip but with your legs) but is the easiest to learn first.

I really do not think that XPole puts out a bad pole.  The sport and the Kendra are the same price.  It appears that the main differences in that the sport comes in 50 or 45 and the Kendra is only 45, and also you can get TG in the sport where the Kendra is only chrome.

Unfortunately you cannot tell what raw material a company uses in their product.  Best advice is to use a brand that you can research and see pictures of real people (not their own advertizing).
