I heard that you can just buy the spinning parts for your existing pole through LM (saves you from buying a whole new pole). It may be worth checking out!

I can pretty much tell you every little nuance of Stranglehold. This is also really good when you screw up, because you will screw up, to get you back to your routine at the proper time.

Basically what I will do is just sit down one day and go through my ipod and whittle my songs down to a few. There are sonfgs that I would like to dance to and then there are songs that totally speak to me at that point in my life. After I get about a half dozen songs I will put those on a playlist and pretty much listen to that exclusively for a day or two. One song will stand out from the rest and that is it.
It sounds to me like you just have not found THE song.

Lots of really good information here:

The showcases that I have been to has just been the ability to get up and perform in front of an appreciative audience. There are so few outlets where we can perform without issues of being touched, cat called, or harrassed that when one happens people usually flock to it. I have never heard of someone getting paid to perform at a showcase, unless of course it was a headliner that you were using to sell tickets. But again, most performances are voluntary. If I was an instructor and was being FORCED to perform ….. that is a totally different story. But I am the type of person who will do stuff just to help promote a studio.

As Mary Ellyn stated, some studios just will not cross promote. There have been facebook sites set up trying to break down some of the walls that exist but it does not seem to be working. Some non-competes that studios have their instructors sign specifically state they cannot have anyhing to do with any other studio. It is ridiculous!

I knew ME would have a lot of really good advice!

Are you in Kent or Brimfield? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Sorry….had to add a little levity to this thread!

Oh honey, I am sorry for what you are going through. Yes, in this instance it is the drugs and alcohol speaking. I am not sure of your living arrangements or the codes in Kent but I can tell you that where I am I get "code violations" at least twice a year. Last year one was a joke as it was when we had all sorts of rain and NO ONE could cut their lawn. The city posted a wanring on my door the very first day we had a clear day. They have not liked the way I piled my wood, they have not liked the way I staked the bricks I was using to build a walkway, if I have the slightest paint peeling on my house I get a notice, etc etc etc. That being said, there may be something you can do through the city. I know you enjoy your garden but by next summer things hopefully will have changed.
And there is no way I would have let someone essentially steal my electricity. I understand helping your neighbors but in this case they are using you for your kindness.

MemberOctober 9, 2012 at 7:33 am in reply to: X-Pole rotated joints – technical questionsI have pictures in my album. Now these are the new longer joints, too. I am not sure if all the new ones are 10" like the ones I got for the studio, but you can see the difference between the old style and the new hex screw.

MemberOctober 8, 2012 at 12:32 pm in reply to: X-Pole rotated joints – technical questionsThe rotating joints was more due to a design flaw in the joint than it was the tube itself. They have redesigned the joint but if you ahve issues with the tube itself I would probably opt to replace it. If you are outside of your warranty period I am not sure that they will replace anything for free.
