I was going to suggest seeing a chiro or at least scheduling a sports massage every 6-8 weeks. Headaches are my warning signal that something is not right in my back.

Please correct me if I read this wrong, but it appears that you are using your foot to pull you to the pole to get your invert. To get rid of this cramp build the proper strength to invert cleanly without using your feet to pull you up.

There is a good possibility that they will have some at reduced pricing after Midwest. This is not something that they advertise but if you call after the event many times they have them. I cannot remember what the discount is but I know it was decent. Also, there is a studio in Cleveland called Elevated Fitness that has several stage poles and I know at one time she was looking to unload one or two.

I cannot remember the name off the top of my head. I would look into a used XPole or SSA (V3.0 or higher) for something in the states. Those are the only two manufacturers of “safe” stage poles.

My powder coated was a bear in summer. It was either too sticky to the point of ripping skin or too slippery when I was sweaty. It was great all other seasons but I hated it when it was hot and humid. I am the same with brass though and really do by like it as a pole material.

Jessies, sorry to confuse you. Not that I would not mind seeing your face but Dino (nerdasaurus) was who that message was for. She and I used to live close and now she is in Pitts and I am in NC.

Jessie, Tuesday or Thursday evenings I could do plus I would love to see your face regularly! Veena chat is probably the easiest for group stretching.

Resounding yes. On top of that there is feedback available here if you post a video or just ask on that specific lesson.

MemberJuly 20, 2014 at 12:13 pm in reply to: Am I overreacting? Feeling slightly upset/confused/discouragedDude, I have been at this for 6+ years, can aerially invert and do lots of upper level stuff but still cannot do the handstand you are referring to. I do not feel comfortable in it and it freaks me out every time even if I do attempt it. It has nothing to do with strength at all. It has everything to do with not every move is for every body.

Are you going to look back and say “what if”? If 3 months down the road you were told you could never pole again what would you do? You entered the comp originally for a reason. What was that reason and does it still exist?
It sounds as if the only thing that is stopping you is your own self doubt.

My favorite still to this day is Liquid Grip. Tite grip is supposed to be good for sweaty, too.

You need the app dated 7/16. They had pushed out one on the 9th that killed everyone’s app. See if you can update yours again.

MemberJuly 16, 2014 at 12:09 pm in reply to: I dont like the way my instructor teaches us to invert?I personally would ask to speak with the instructor one-on-one. Explain to her that you don’t feel safe kicking into these moves as they can cause injury. And if she is unwilling to work with you then you need to speak to the owner.

After I posted that comment I did some searching of myself and found the same thing. Supposedly they have sent the app bug fixes however last I checked it still has not been released.
On that note my husband and I are just following the calendar one but starting wherever we tested into. Fucker started at two minutes!. -
For me being outside is a huge thing. We go camping a lot and even just weekends when we are home we try to get out either on the water, hiking or biking. In the evenings when we get home my husband and I will sit on our front porch and have a drink and talk about our day. Other times just snuggling up or playing with my dogs calms me.

I am not sure exactly where to buy it, however there was a discussion a little while (like 2 years ago) on facebook about CeraVe lotion being almost the same ingredient profile as Pole Physics. You may want to try it instead if you cannot find PP. You can buy it at pretty much any drug store, and I think Target and possibly Walmart sell it. You are looking at about $12 a bottle.

Anyone else not able to get the 30 days app to work?

So I just went back through and read Charley’s response. Can you tell why we are friends?
I will also note here, Layla’s illness has really pushed a LOT of this to the forefront and slapped us in the face. Layla was about the dance, about the community, about the love. I cannot imagine if she was just getting into pole NOW as opposed to when she did how she would feel. Or Joel. Hell, even David knows that without the community he may not have ever gone as far as he has.
I need a What Would Layla Do t shirt, and I need it NOW!

I have not read through this all as I am just waking up and had made a mental note earlier in the week that I wanted to respond to this. I still have so many things that are running through my head so I will try to separate them and add my notes.
Social media to me has become a game of “Look at me”, look how much better my life is than yours. Or on the opposite end, drama drama drama. Most of the videos in my feed any more are from competitions or performances, I don’t see very many clips. I also do not watch as many videos as I used to. I fully understand the need to share your excitement for getting a move, especially if you had worked on it for a long time, but I grow tired of people who do it because they are seeking attention. And you know and I know those people. I am not going to sit and explain myself, you know.
On that note, there has been a lot of conversation about this trend toward making a name for yourself in pole and it seems the social media plays a big part in that. People are not poling for the love and the community, they are poling looking for that attention. And it shows back stage when they are competing or performing. And it shows on their social media as they complain about this or that and why they did not win. I have heard some back stage horror stories and it is kind of sickening that some people are such whores for attention that they have to try to make others feel less than. Social media plays so much into this.
I have been secure in my pole journey for some time now so social media does not play much of a role. I still love seeing new stuff and some I know I maybe one day I will get and some thee is no way. It gives me an insight of the person behind the dancer and sometimes that is scary. Sometimes that makes their dance that much more beautiful. But again, I am in this for the community. I am in it because of the way pole makes me feel. It is a small portion of my life but one portion that fills a gap. I have an identity away from pole.

Also from looking at some of the messages on Facebook it looks like they have been having issues for over a year. Seriously, there are so many companies out there that have made their name in the protein market and have quality products, why jump on a company that was obviously trying to make money by targeting pole people? I don’t see proteins specifically made for gymnasts or cross country runners or weightlifters. This just seems like a gimmick product aimed at pole dancers because they think we are all just dumb females and will buy anything to make us the next Felix Cane.
Ok…..off my soap box now.

Have you gone to their site lately? They are back ordered and completely off line and have been since March.
